Horrible

On three consecutive visits for oil changes, they forgot to replace the cover on the underside of my car. Two of the three times I returned to get it back, they put it on incorrectly.

If you want to pay $86/per hour for labor, double the actual costs of the parts, don't mind waiting for a lengthy period of time while the servicemen chat and joke around while charging for the "labor", and then have to argue about any Firestone coupons that you will be submitting when you check out ....... then the Altoona, PA Firestone is the place for you.
IT SUCKS !

This place SUCKS !!

I went to the Firestone Auto Center on Fort Lewis, WA. My emergency brake cable had broken. I went in, specifically told them what I needed repaired, and asked for an estimate on getting it fixed. 2 hrs later, they came back to me with (no kidding) 5 sheets of "RECOMMENDED" services totalling over $5,478 !! After a few expletives, I told them I had just had the truck serviced less than 2 months prior, and didn't think that I needed all the work. I then asked how much to JUST have the emergency brake cable replaced. Well, that would be over $500. I told them to put my truck back together, because I was getting out of there.
I took my vehicle to Bruce Titus Chevrolet in Tacoma, WA. They found, retrieved, and replaced the part that afternoon, all for right at $300. I asked them to specifically look at some of the "faults" that the Firestone place had "found", and they said that if I wanted some of the work done, they could do it, but there wasn't anything they found that was beyond normal wear and tear, and definitely nothing that needed immediate attention.
What's even more disconcerting, was that for the 2+ hours that I was at the Firestone Center, NOT ONE person came in with something to get done (oil change, tire fixed, etc.) who weren't given the hard sell on getting some highly "Recommended" additional work done. I totally got the feel that they were trying to take advantage of the young soldiers and their families there on Ft. Lewis.
I can not stress enough: DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE AUTOCARE CENTER on Fort Lewis. They will try and take you for eveything they can.

not worth it... at all

i went there to have my a/c recharged and as they filled it up "something" went wrong and the next thing they know they have a/c fluid all over my engine block so they cleaned up my engine (with a "small" price tacked on the bill) and they told me it was going to cost over 1000 dollars to replace whole a/c set up because it could have been more than one thing so to be safe they would want to replace it all. When i started to check out under the hood myself i noticed one the lines that leads to my condenser had busted (on the top of the line, very easily seen) and thus where all the fluid was spraying out of. Obvious sorce of the problem, small fix, but they didnt see it. After a 200 dollar bill for getting nothing accomplished i left feeling very dissatified to say the least. By the way this was the firestone in Blue Springs, MO, other firestones may be different but this one i would not suggest

Not providing service and still charging and lying
Posted by TravellerMike on 10/04/2008
I had to pay a couple of hundred dollars for services that Firestone wrote on the bill, but never provided: When I got my car back and checked it, I saw they that the services they charged me for, were not done at all! After I confronted the shop with this, they lied and said that they "forgot" to do the services. I did not even get my money back. My warning for all car owners is: Stay far away from Firestone!

Scammers.

I went to this location to get ONE tire patched. It had a piece of glass stuck in the middle of it. Two hours of waiting later, they are suddenly not able to patch it, because the glass tore the tire wall. Funny, the glass was in the MIDDLE of my tire when I pulled into the parking lot. And, they also recommended I replace two other tires, because they now somehow both had nails in them.
Granted, it is possible to drive through construction in this area and just get unlucky. But between the total wait of over 3 hours, the ridiculous price of $150 for ONE tire (it was the "only" one available in my wheel's size), I was more than over this place. I came in for a $25 patch, and left after spending almost $180! I am so tired of places like this taking advantage of people. If you build your reputation as an HONEST and REPUTABLE business, you won't need to scam. You'll have all the customers you can handle!

The firestone on 3120 E whitestone, cedar park,tx, was really nice...We brought over a sm. tire to try to inflate. They were going to do it for free.As they where working on it, they bent the nozzel so it could not be used any more. They offered to replace the wheel with a new one.Instead,we asked for two oil changes, and Jay was more then happy to give. It's nice to see that there are still places where people treat others with respect!!! Now they have a new customer!!! Respect goes such a longggg way....:) The Taylors

You always have to wait FOREVER!!! I have been waiting 6 hours and counting!!!

With my previous car (which is now totaled) I took it to Firestone because my brakes were heating up. They told me it would be a couple $1000 dollars, and so did another place around town. I then took my car to a little shop in town and they fixed the problem. My brakes were heating up because my caliberg was broken and I needed new struts. WOW and it only cost me $622 for my whole frontend to be replaced compaired to over $1000.
Now as we speak the vehicle I have now is at Firestone. My father bought tires from there and had the whole 9 yards of warranty balance, mounting, rotating and everything else on there. I dropped it off at 10 am, it is now 4pm and I just called and they said "Well I just talked to the manager and he said that they need to do the alignment, and he is going to do it himself right now. Give him another hour and it will be finished." WTF my vehicle has been there for 6 hours already and you arent done. All I wanted was rotating, balancing, and alignment. OH, and also they wanted to add 1 gallon of coolant for $11.99, and 1 pint of power steering fluid for $3.99.
All and all I am not really pleased with them because they always take so long, and they always tell you things are wrong with your vehicle when they arent. I wouldnt go to them but I can get these tires serviced there for free under the warranty. The only good thing they have is the life time alignments, but you have to wait FOREVER to get it done!!!

RIP OFFS!!!(Firesonte In Killeen, TX)
Posted by breezy10 on 07/02/2008
I took my car to firestone because it was making a groaning sound when I turn right. this is what I was told. " you need new tires, struts need replacing, front and back ball joints need to be replaced, and you will need an alignment". all of that was going to cost me 1,610.00. Now hearing this I knew right then these a$$ holes were trying to rip me off. Kia's don't come with back ball joints, my struts, tires, and alingment was just done in Feb. of 08. so I went to Kia and they told me that my balts were loose(I forgot where), but with them tightning my balts up and I got my 60,000 mile maintnance service done, it cost me $498.00. and my car no longer makes that noise. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies!

the manager Mike B is wonderful, I have taken all my 4 cars to get service there, from oil change to more complicated services. The prices are always competitive, the service is quick and efficient and all their work is garanteed. I have been in several places around the city and Firestone Complete auto care is my absolute favorite!
