Sorry, but City Search doesn't care about people making up bad reviews.

Nocgirl72 lies. So you must not be very good. She always seems to be the first one to write a review so she has to be the one entering the business info and getting everything wrong. She claims other people make fake accounts just to write one review but I have found at least postings under 4 different names. I used to live near here and she is nuts.

    Hot crowd, big dance floor

    Posted by babycakez on 06/20/2008

I'll start by saying that the crowd is hot! The music is great and the dance floor is HUGE! Now, the bartenders are kind of slow and it's hard to get the female bartenders' attention. Not to mention that the drinks are kind of pricey but they do give out free water bottles. This place is great for dancing but not so much for drinks. Best thing to do is go down to Craftsman Ct (about 2 blocks away WEST) and have some cheap drinks at the local bars then head to DM to dance the night away.

Like the party you didn't want to come to

It is a night life scene to be sure. It is so much the place to be, you?ll be hard pressed to get the bartender?s attention to get yourself a drink. If you are coming here to pickup women, good luck. You?ll notice upon entering there is 1 woman for every 5 guys at which point you will realize that you just wasted that ten dollar cover to hang out with a bunch of lonely dudes. You could have done that for free.

The problem with Old Town is that a place is only fun for about 2-3 years until the ASU crown takes over and makes it trashy. This place is crowded and immature. People are spilling drinks on people and trying to start fights. It's very young and unprofessional. This place was nice when it first opened. It was a Martini lounge with outdoor couches and a fun vibe. Then they converted one of their rooms into a dance floor and it became the next Club Rio where ASU students could mingle and try to look upscale. If you are a highly educated young professional in your mid-20's and prefers a more upscale, NY/LA/Vegas scene on the level of PURE nightclub in Las Vegas, go to Six, Pussycat Lounge or the Merc bar.

    Not bad...

I have been to both the old town and N. Scottsdale locations. It's a fun place but you need to get there before 10 to avoid cover and line. Music is ok, so is crowd but bar service is slow and I did not get my change back from a drink I purchased, even though bartender claims she gave it to me. Nothing spectacular about this place. There is bigger and better but it is alright once in a while.
