    I had a puppy flown in, and used their services and the attendent wasnt paying attention and let him fall off the small dolly she was using and his crate tumbled with him in it right in front of me! Then when I said something to her she started yelling at me for saying something to her about it. This is the worst service that I have ever received. Dont ship through American Airlines. At least not to the San Francisco area.

    i've flown american 3 or 4 times and they never seem to have it together. delays, poor service, unfriendly attendants and cramped seating aside, i can add stolen items to my list of complaints. upon returning home from a family visit for the holidays, i discovered items missing from INSIDE my luggage. now i have the good fortune of having to ask for sales receipts for the gifts i received. adding insult to injury, their policies regarding such instances just sucks. i have to go to the airport of my final destination in order to file a claim for the items that are missing because they don't have a public phone number!!!! is this a joke? i just paid $1000 to visit my family- not counting the cash you have to cough up in order to check your bags- which i basically paid to have my things stolen- and now I have to go to THEM in order to attempt to have the situation rectified. what a slap in the face. my biggest concern through all of this is that if it's so easy for someone to take something from a bag, how easy is it for someone to put something in? with all of the security issues with the airlines these days, i would hope that it would be harder for something like this to occur.

    American customer service doesn't have a clue on what they do for a job, They basicaly laughed at me for my request that shows the cancellation portion of my flight on a reciept. American Airlines BLOWSSSS!!!!

    They canceled our flight ( along with 500 others), then wouldn’t give us our luggage back that we checked in. to make things worse there were no American Airline employs answering any question!!! After we stood in line for 1.5 hours we got the hint…… If we were going to get home we would need to use a dependable airline. Fortunately South West had two seats for us to get home. It will be a very, very, very, long time before I will ever, ever fly American Airlines again and an even longer time before I ever pay To fly on American Airlines.

    Lost Luggage a REAL problem here

    We just returned from trips to NYC and DC and our luggage was lost BOTH times. It arrived 7 hours later in NYC and now that I'm back from my final stop in OKC (9 hours ago) my luggage still isn't here. The worst part was we sat by the baggage claim for about 1 hour after our flight and they never came and told us that NONE of our luggage ever left ST. Louis, which was our lay-over. Their attendants in the terminal were rude to us also. We got off a flight from Baltimore and literally ran to our next gate to catch the connecting flight and they were very rude and told us we had better hurry up or they would give our seats away. We were two couples with 3 young children!!! I'll never use again.

    They run a bit late from time to time, but overall I use this airline often.

    I totally agree with this passenger - all around good service and organization - deregulation has not helped this industry and this alone has added to disruption and disorganization or the airline business. Since deregulation there has definitely been a disruption in customer service due to the fact we have less employees on duty to help passengers on and off the planes. - Jane
