really bad
Posted by horseskipper on 12/10/2009
my lady friend had a flight to Moscow from gulfport via Atlanta. they put her on a flight about 2 hours late going to Alanta. from Atlanta they put her on a 2nd late flight to J F K. where she had ON chance of making her flight to Moscow. She ended up setting in J F K for another 24 hours. Delta wouldn't even get her a room for the night.Plus when it was over they lost both of her baggages at this point 1 has been recoevered and 1 is still missing. needless to say they're service really sucks. All I wanted was a local phone to book a flight. None listed, none could be found. Will fly on another airline. Spent $4,800.00 for flights with these people in the month of November. Will be spending a like amount several times next year. Delta you can kiss that good bye.

Delta - No phone number listed
Posted by kimarie123 on 10/16/2009
Aren't the yellow pages a phone book? Delta does not list it's number here? Why? Are they are too embarrassed to talk to anyone about their ridiculous baggage charges! Their website details are not very clear either. I would like to talk to live person. Is that too much to ask?

I booked a flight for my son from San Diego to North Carolina, before I booked the flight I was assured that there would be no additional fees for luggage since my son who is in the Army was traveling on orders from SD to NC. When we arrived at the San Diego Airport the lines were quite long for both luggage check in and security. My son went to check in his luggage curbside and I waited in the Security line. The guy working at the curbside check in told my son that he could check his bags for $105!! This is in addition to the $3 per bag fee. My son advised him that he was on orders and was told there would be no fee. The guy said if he wanted to check his bags he would have to pay. As he had to be on that flight he paid. Since July 25 both my son and I have continued to call Delta's 800# and each person that we have spoken to has said that he should not have been charged $105 however, they have ALL directed our calls to other numbers which usually don't exist. I am told that I have to contact Delta in San Diego but NOBODY has the local number! During my latest attempt today I was told that the San Diego area code had been changed to 787. I live in San Diego and assured the Delta agent that there had been no change to San Diego's area code. Come to find out area code 787 is in Puerto Rico! To date, no refund of this totally bogus charge..................

this is better than some area airlines. Not as good as big city airlines, but will do in a pinch.

Lost luggage
Posted by judyannemt on 01/22/2008
I've flown Delta out of Butte many times. Once they lost my luggage, but I got it back a few days later (even though they didn't deliver it, I had to go into Butte to get it).
Only small planes fly out of Butte, and they are expensive.
