they came out to repair my windshield AGAIN...this being the 4th time, bc they "cannot find the leak". after having the local shop tell me "there's nothing we can do" I called my insurance company and they had them come out one more time. this time a "manager" came and did a new replacement not just a "reseal" and the original installer "stuffed" my windshield in and the bottom of the glass was not touching the glue. When the glass was out I looked to see and they scratched the body all up with no sign of rust preventing paint ovr them, not to mention the massive amount of glue that was smeared all over from them trying to "reseal" the glass. This was my experience and I have learned from this...next time this company will not be touching any of my cars.

Unbiased and Upset

I read the reviews online after I already scheduled a mobile repair with Safelite. I disregarded them because they all just seemed to bash the company. I'm sure there are a few reputable branches of the company, but apparently Akron, OH is not one of them.
How do you explain being late to an appointment with a 4-hour time slot? If I had schedule the appointment for 4pm and the guy called to explain he was running late and then showed up a little late, that would be fine.
However, I waited from 12pm-3:50pm before calling the 800 number. The lady on the phone was nice and called the repair technician to find what the problem was. He said he hadn't called me yet but that he was going to be late - he would show up sometime between 4-5!
I am usually very easy going and I forgive the guy - it's still ridiculous. I canceled the appointment and will be going somewhere local.

I scheduled my service online. They guys came to my home on a Saturday and were done in less than 30 minutes. They did a very professional job, and it didn't disrupt my day any.

I took off from work because they promised they said they would be here between 8 and noon. Noon passed without a call from them. I called them and they said it would be at least another 30 minutes. I cancelled the job.

Their phone rings to people laughing in the background. Someone finally noticed me 5 minutes later. That is when I told them they just lost my business and hung up! What a gang of unprofessional Bafoons !!! I'd rather drive down the hiway with NO windshield than do business with these cretins... No apology for letting me hang listless on the line. Pathetic manors and very UN-businesslike. Avoid at all costs and ignore the horrid commercials that run every day on the radio. Their service stinks!

I can't remember when I have gotten such good service from a company. I had a reminder email the morning of my schedule date that had the name and Picture (great idea) of the tech that was coming. He called, was so nice, and did a great job. I will recommend them to all my friends.

i called to get a quote, they would not give a quote unless i gave them all my personal/auto information. other companies willingly gave me a quote over the phone. I will not ever use them.

Top Notch Service

After reading some less that positive reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive about using Safelite. I'm pleased to say that I had a very good experience. The technician (AL) arrived at my place of business, on time. He replaced the windshield in my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire without incident. The cost was $30.00 less than any local competitor (Griffith, IN.). I have decided to use these folks for all our glass needs for my business, they've earned it!

We had them come out to replace our driver side window, and just like everyone else, they showed up a day late. But that's not even the worst part. The guy put the window in, left all of the broken glass all over the vehicle and inside the door (which you can hear when you open and close the door), glued my door panel back on because he lost the screws. But the best part is, after he left, we rolled down the window and notice the entire top part of the window was chipped off and sharp. We didn't notice it because it was tucked up in the weather stipping rolled up. This idiot didn't think we would notice??? He is damn lucky I didn't cut myself cause I'd own that place. Called to complain, but got the run-a-round. They we nice on the phone when they wanted my business, but if you want to complain, plan on talking to voicemails all day with no retun calls.!!!!!!!!!!!!!Call Someone Else!!!!!!!!!!

After reading the reviews on this Safelite, I was a little concerned about getting my windshield replaced by them.
I called 5 different places and Safelite beat their prices by $40+
They put in the windshield that weekend (with a lifetime guarantee). That was 2 weeks ago and I have had no problems. I didn't have to wait when I got there, they were courteous and quit.
