As a consumer it’s rare to come across someone who’s both an exceptionally well qualified professional and a really nice guy. But that’s Mike Garrone.
I needed help with two issues. My HP laptop had begun spontaneously shutting down during normal operations. There had also been times when the fan had run at high speed for a long time. I asked Mike if he could get me back in business and he tried just about everything. He recemented the heat sink to the CPU and replaced the fan but the problem persisted. This is where most experts would have given up. But he collaborated with a colleague who had worked for HP and was able to get a replacement CPU though the unit is about three years old. That fixed the problem and the computer is working great.
My other issue involved upgrading me from an old Dell to a new HP desktop. I wanted all of my data files transitioned over to the new computer so I’d be able to find everything right where it used to be on the old computer. I also required the ability to use legacy (tax) software for which I no longer had the original application files. When I got the new computer back Mike had created a Virtual Machine which exactly mimics my old computer so I can use the legacy tax software if needed. He also set the new computer up so everything is in its expected place. This includes all of my email folders, my documents, spread- sheets, Powerpoint presentations, databases, photos and music.
He just did a great job and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

When your computer doesn't work the way it is supposed to, call Mike! It is so nice to work with someone who knows what he is doing and can explain it to you in a way that is understandable. It is great to work with someone who will come to your house to see what the problem really is and then fix it in a timely manner. Plus, Mike is available in the evenings and on weekends, when most computer problems are likely to happen! Thanks Mike.

I was in such a funk because an expensive book I purchased years ago on CD-rom didn't run on my brand new HP all-in-one computer. Actually that was just one of the problems I was having. Mike came over and figured out the complicated situation with the book and cleaned my computer of some bugs that were causing aggravating pop up windows on my desktop.
What was most helpful is that while we were waiting for downloads, Mike taught me a lot about maintaining my PC.
It's great to have someone who is experienced, kind and reasonably priced to call when technology doesn't feel like my friend anymore!

Mike is a good professional. Skilfull and accurate. He managed to exceed my customer expactation in retrieving data from a crashed laptop. Not only within the timeframe we agreed on but he did even more than I asked for!

Great Service

There needs to be room for more stars. Mike was able to repair my broken laptop that had fallen and quit working altogether. I had attempted to repair it on my own, but was not able to do so. Mike knew how to repair this problem and allow me to use my laptop again. He was efficient and definitely friendly. I would recommend him to anyone.

I am not the smartest computer person and Mike came in and cleaned up our computer. Gave us information that we didn't know. We were so happy with our home computer that we had him clean up our laptop also. I would diffently use him and refer him to others. As a matter of fact my daughter just called needing his number for her job. Mike is very friendly and knowledgable.

I cannot believe I have lived this long and not contacted Mike at FriendlyPCService before...
When our computer contracted a virus, I panicked and asked every and any available person I could find to offer some help.
After many odd and wierd options and opinions, and probably "more damage than good efforts", a friend suggested I call her computer go-to guy, Mike at FriendlyPCService.
For $75, Mike wiped-out the virus, cleaned up our computer, erradicated any mischief and brought back options that have been perplexing us for months!
A week later, Mike emailed us to ask how everything was going.
A month later, Mike came and helped us with a printer problem we were having.
Mike's pleasant nature and calming reassurance has made him #1 in my opinion.
