    It Deserves No Stars...

    Posted by Lainie1 on 11/24/2008

The previous reviewer is right. My husband was advised by his doctor to exercise, so we signed up with All American. It turns out my husband's children came back into his life, so he really didn't have the time or money to devote to the fitness center. He has not been there even one time. They have absolutely no provision for cancellation due to life changes or financial difficulties. Yes, you can freeze your account for up to a year, but you still pay a monthly fee, plus I believe you have to pay a fee up front just to have them freeze it. Also, there is something about another $7 fee every three months on top of that. You could definitely save some money by just buying one of those home gym machines you see on television. Joining is one of the worst decisions we have ever made!!!

AAF Gym is The worst gym in OKC

    Posted by StephienPJ125 on 09/19/2008

I joined AAF after my previous gym membership expired, because it was close to my home and it was open 24 hrs. I got locked into the high pressured-sales contract with promises of upcoming features to the gym that never came. It is unclean, the staff is frequently rude, the managers are frequently rude...About the rudeness? Not a problem, since they have so much staff turnover that it is not funny. if you want a good gym, head in the opposite direction. Spend your money on a home-fitness machine rather than AAF. You'll thank me later.

    Worst contract ever!

    Posted by Genjuro on 12/09/2007

Here's the deal with All American. Once you sign their contract, you cannot break it for ANY reason. First of all, you are REQUIRED to give them your checking account and routing number. They WILL debit your account every month regardless of whether you move to a new residence, start a new job, ask them to cancel your membership, are injured and can't work out, or just find a much better gym. If you switch banks and don't give them your new banking information, they will just bill you for the entire 2-3 year contract (even if you've only worked out a week). Are you ready to just hand over a couple thousand? Not even cell phone companies are that bad. Oh yea, if you happen to move to another state, you may be able to break the contract. However, All American has many many affiliated gyms around the US. If you are within just 25 miles of any one of them, you can't get out of their iron clad contract. Save your sanity and money. I would not recommend this gym to anyone!
