This practice area is essentially civil litigation focused on consumer protection. This is a field which is new and in its relative infancy. Moreover, the number of attorneys practicing in this area is small when compared to the total number of attorneys. This field developed due to the rampant abuse and negligence of the consumer credit industry. Typically claims of this nature arise from identity theft, mistakes made by creditors, and creditor abuse. Regardless of how it happened, you have likely have statutory rights which need to be asserted.
