Employees are rude for no reason

    Posted by southjax on 03/21/2009

I am a local, I have been to the Bulldog Uptown many times. I love the patio and their beer selection. The pub food is also very tasty- However, I've had it with their horrible employees. Today, I took friends who were here from out of town there for lunch, and the two guys behind the food counter were a-holes. This has been pretty standard, but today was just awful. I was so embarassed and I will never go back there. I can't believe someone would sign a paycheck and hand it to those jerks- horrible business decision. We sat on the patio, and EVERYONE who was sitting out there having food was talking about how rude those guys were. I don't know who the owner is- but when you finally hire people who won't treat customers like the dirt, please advertise, because I would be first in line to come back and enjoy what I know could be the BEST pub in the uptown area. Until then, I will spend my money somewhere the employees make me at least feel welcome.

    best pub

Really fun pub with a huge selection of beers. They have a great patio with a really fun beer tap fountain. They also allow dogs on leash. Good place to watch games on the screen, they always play great music, and wednesdays they do drink specials and you keep all your pint glasses. They do good pub food as well; the burgers aren't bad but not the best in town, but their waffle cut fries are amazing. It can get pretty packed though, so seating can be hard to find.

they have a good happy hour, the bartenders could be a lot friendlier, though. the cheese fries are delicious.

    Patio location on Canal boulevard

    Posted by KARLRABITO1 on 07/07/2007

The beautiful patio is located at the Mid-City location on Canal Boulevard. The group that runs "the bulldog" on magazine, and "the bulldog (2) mid-city" also run a place called Lager's on the corner of Veterans and Severn Ave. in Metairie.

    Beer Central

    Posted by jackiemonteilh on 01/04/2007

The Bulldog has one of the best selections of beer in the city. It's always a fun place to go either for the loveable bartenders, the trivia games on tv, the good music, or just the lovely patio. I highly recommend it for anyone who just likes to sip a beer and relax.

    Go on the Beer Journey!

Posted by Christy S. on 04/27/2006

Probably the most extensive choice of beers in the area. You can go on the beer journey and get a tag punched for each of the draft pints you drink. The crowd here is mixed enough that anyone will feel welcome. There's also a grill for the those late night hunger pangs.
