DOES NOT provide delivery.

A pizza place, right next to downtown, that doesn't deliver is a bad business model and just plain lazy.

Craving tasty Pizza? Just keep driving...
Posted by ssajnani78 on 11/29/2006
Many rave reviews and a few recommendations later I found myself seated in a vinyl booth at Broadway Pizza taking in the "saloon" scenery. I ordered a "NY style" and eagerly bit into my slice. At this point I did not know whether to laugh or cry. Did they replace my crust with chewy cardboard? Did they head over to their local supermarket for some half price spaghetti sauce and flavorless cheese? My tastebuds were crying and all I could do was guzzle down my beverage to get the remains of chewy, ill tasting, food particles out of my mouth. One word of advise Broadway Pizza, please do not slander the wonderful reputation of NY pizza and take it off your menu! Your local grocers freezer is gourmet next to your sad rendition of "pizza"

Bland pizza crust
Posted by veggiedesi on 11/18/2006
We tried this place after getting a recommendation from someone. Very disappointed in the NY style crust. We think it was frozen. It tasted bland and chewy...nothing like NY pizza. We also asked for garlic in it and could taste it at all. Go if you want the same ho-hum midwest pizza, but don't expect anything better than a slice from the local quicky mart.

The best "all the works" pizza in town

I have never been disapointed with the combo pizza "EDDIE" special and I have ordered it at several locations. Best pizza in town, bar none.

boycott the Maple Grove Broadway pizza
Posted by fwhateverusay on 05/10/2006
The Maple Grove BW pizza had unprofessional servers. Waited in line FOREVER and never was asked to be seated nor greeted. Seems to me like all the servers were young high school kids with no manners. There were ONLY 1 cook on a busy Saturday night. Also heard the Cook wispering to the other servers "go home (customers), we're running out of food." That's just RUDE!!! People like that shouldn't even be qualified to work in nice restuarant's like BW pizza.

Great pizza!

I always order take out. This pizza is the second best in the twin cities (to Savoy in St. Paul.) Take out cashier is great and always seems to be the same guy. Would be IDEAL if they offered delivery services!!

North Minneapolis' Unique Pizza Tradition
Posted by Robb M. on 08/17/2005
Pizza. pizza, pizza... where does it all end? Listen, if you are going to really appreciate pizza, first you must stay away from the chains and national delivery promises. Those promises aren't worth the newsprint they are printed on! Now, Broadway Pizza has been around for a long time but it still astonishes for the distinct and unique niche it holds in the pantheon of pizza pleasure. Maybe it is the consistency and maybe it is the approach but you won't find anything like this pizza at Luce, Leaning Tower, Punch, Fat Lorenzo's or California Pizza (all worhty competitors but different in style).First, while you can order different style of pizza crusts, I would very much recommend the thin one because it is the mark of distinction here at Broadway Pizza. The thin crust is just the right combination of crusty, crunchy, and crispy. Cut in little parallel-a-grams, you can sit with a single friend or group family members and WOOOSH! it will be gone in seconds. Bling, bling, bling those tilted squares zip off the metal tins they are served on. Better order two or three pizzas for once you reach the starting gun the race goes fast. The pizza sauce at Broadway is also distinct and flavorful. It is safe to say many Minneapolis kids and Northsiders grew up on this pizza and have never found anything equivalent in the world. And it would also safe to say in families this was teh biggest culinary delight they experienced regularly growin up, at holidays and probably even Christmas and Thanksgiving. In the bar and the dining, they have a train that run around the top side of the room and it is a huge kick for kids.

Are you kidding?
Posted by mndreaming on 07/13/2005
Apparently, Broadway pizza has fallen victim to budget cuts!!!! The cheese on the large classic deluxe pizza that I bought was used so sparingly, I could count up the other ingredients from a distance. This pizza was horrible ... not at all like I remember from high school. Eating Broadway Pizza was a weekly event. Every football game for sure. This pizza was a shameful, deceitful, play on a wonderful memory. Never again.

True Minnesotan's Know Good Pizza...
Posted by rrrucker21 on 07/13/2005
I have relocated to NY and everytime I come home, I have half of a thin crust medium supreme pizza from Broadway Pizza. It does not get any better! People think in NY with all the Pizzerias that I would find better but trust me... if you like bland, no seasoned, so much grease you fry fish in it type pizza, then go to NY. If you want fresh, seasoned, crispy thin, even take home a non-baked one for when you are in the mood and don't want to drive to get one type of Pizzeria, then RUN straight to Broadway Pizza! :-)

Fantastic Pizza!
Posted by GretchenJennie on 06/02/2005
Broadway Pizza has the best pizza in the twin cities! I especially love the thin crust - but ALL their pizza is great! It is a shame they don't deliver, but the pizza is worth the trip!
