    Claims made easy

    Like any organization I dealt with, looks like CSAA is no exception to the rules, but my personal experience has been GREAT. I have heard negative stories as many as positive ones about their claims department and I was afraid to file a similar claim to the one listed on 1/22/2008 but was pleasantly surprised with the speed and service I received from the time I made the call to the end of the claim. The Adjuster did tell me about their $750 payment rule and how it could affect my record for 3 years, but after the dust settled, CSAA/AAA only paid $600 to the person I "supposedly" hit and I was never surcharged. To my eyes the other guy was at fault and I even had my passenger as a witness, but I guess I couldn't use him as such. This accident happend 2 years ago and have not seen any surcharges on my insurance or my driving record. AAA Rocks!

    Friendly and horrible...

    I agree with the previous review, they are friendly while you are signing up for services - but that will change when you have a claim.

    Then they are friendly and RUDE... As an example, I had a claim on a collision that was clearly (by law) not my fault but because it was under the $500 claim amount, they went ahead and paid the fraudulent claim in spite of my photographic evidence that clearly showed no damage on the other person's car.

    It is their internal policy to pay anything under $500 without an investigation. The person who filed the claim against me was an adjuster for another company and knew of this rule. I got hit with one point on my record. This was after about 20 emails and 50 or so phone calls 2,000 miles away in their support office in Utah. An attorney says I have a valid case just based on the emails but it's a lot of effort to just get one point erased.

    Bottom line, CSAA -WILL NOT- support you in times of need... you will be left high and dry, and they proved it to me by the Friendly way they ignored me and my evidence.

    I am still debating whether to take CSAA to court since they willfully knew the claim was fraudulent but still went ahead and paid it without performing due diligence to validate the claim.
