    What a rip-off!

    Posted by DianaRubalcava on 07/20/2009

I recently had the works from this store, an eye exam, bought new pair of eyeglasses and cleaning solution. I didn't like that even though I previously bought a pair of no-rim glasses from them, they refused to put new lenses in it. What a rip-off!

    Poor customer service

    Posted by flowersf on 09/14/2007

We had a made a first time appointment for my thirteen- year- old daughter. My daughter was running a few minutes late, so I called LensCrafters to inform them that we would be five minutes late and to check if that was ok. The representative on the phone told me that they were only able to hold the appointment for ten minutes, and then we would be bumped to a walk-in appointment, this was their policy. We arrived five minutes late to find no one at the check-in desk. We waited for almost ten minutes before someone arrived at the desk to help us. When the person checked our appointment in the computer, he informed us that we were late and that we were going have to wait an hour for another appointment. I generally to do patronize chain businesses and this is a perfect example of the poor customer service (lack of personalized attention) that does not fit with a paying customers needs . I would highly recommend seeking service elsewhere for vision screening and eyewear.

    Terrible Customer Service

    Posted by ebhcgrrrl on 03/09/2007

When I walked into the store, there was a sales person who promptly greeted me and helped me make my selection for my perfect pair of glasses. Everything at this point was terrific with the customer service. Since I had a unique prescription, I could not pick up my new glasses in one hour which I was fine with. However, once I made my payment, the wonderful customer service I received disappeared. Mahta, the sale person who helped me, said she would call me as soon as my glasses is ready for pick up. Two-and-a-half weeks passed by without any word from her so I finally called the store myself to figure what's going on. The person on the phone said the glasses should be ready in 2 days and will call me back to confirm. Nobody called me and 2 days went by. On the 2 day mark, I called again to ask about my glasses and the person on the phone told me that there was a mistake somewhere in the process so my glasses was delayed even more. When I asked the person why no one has been calling me to keep me updated on the progress, he offered no excuse or apology for the lack of communication. He assured me that someone will call me when my glasses are ready. More days went by without any call from anyone at Lenscrafters so I finally went to the store in person to see what was going on. I went in there, and discovered that my glasses have been sitting in the store for the past few days. When I asked again about the lack of communication, nobody offered a reasonable explanation nor an apology. Although Lenscrafters have a good selection of glasses and is conveniently located in a lot of neighborhoods, the sales people are really apathetic and uncommunicative once they have your money.
