Our soy sauce is a special house recipe. We use high quality wasabi and ginger.
The Morishita family opened the second sushi bar in America in 1966 and have received received a sushi pioneer award and plaque from the California State Assembly. Take out/To Go orders accepted.

A long pale sushi bar made of prized Japanese Cypress dominates the minimalist, blond wood and white bento box of a room. The chefs each have 25 years' experience, and the savvy crowd knows it. Homemade soy, ponzu and eel sauces belie the care devoted to the daily fresh fish from Japan. Beyond sushi, other specialties include grilled conch served in its shell, sliced lotus root with beef tempura, deep fried hama hama oysters, and fugu (blowfish skin) with ponzu.
Insider Tips
The restaurant is on the third floor of Tokyo Shopping Center, on the corner of Alameda and Third. During the day, enter on Alameda between Third and Fourth, and park on the fourth floor to access the entrance. After 8pm, enter through the parking structure.
Lunch combos are a great deal. Items such as the sashimi plate, sushi sampler, tempura plate and deep fried oysters come with miso soup, cucumber, daily appetizer, and Japanese pickles.
