    Best Little Optometrist office anywhere

    Posted by chien_chen on 06/13/2007

Pacific Rims Optometry is the classic "hole-in-the-wall" but they are the best around for service. People are liking my new eyeglasses and I like the new contact lenes. The staff is helpful, patient and know what looks good on me. They are neighborhood oriented and remember my name. Dr. Dong has made me more concious about taking care of myself. His advice about blending my oatmeal and making smoothies has helped me feel better. I also wear a pendant that helps me sleep better, feel more alert, and less tired at work. Who would have known that an optometrist could know about these things? The place is small but they get the job done......

Avoid this guy unless you're looking for a holistic healer

    Posted by nobokov on 08/09/2006

It's a nice staff, however the exam felt like I was in a car dealership being solicited to buy more options. Just like the previous review, this guy tried to sell me a $108 crystal amulet that would allegedly, reduce the wrinkles in my face and strengthen my chi. When I asked him questions regarding the causes of my eye problems, he told me to "look it up on the internet" and explained that I didn't pay him enough to get that kind of information. Also, he failed to dilate my pupils to perform an opthalmoscopy. At $90 bucks a pop, there are better deals out there.

    Cute frames, weird doctor

    Posted by ssmith101 on 08/02/2006

They have a good selection of frames for being such a tiny place, but Dr. Dong gave me an exam and the whole time he tried to sell me a $99 crystal "biofeedback" pendant. I felt uncomfortable and it was very unprofessional. The rest of his staff is nice, but I'm switching doctors.

    THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

    Posted by noirsilk on 07/04/2006

I walked into this shop almost 9 years ago to repair a pair of glasses Susie said to me "no charge maybe one day you will return." 3 years ago I did go back and have no plans on switching to anyone else. Not only is the selection incredible but the customer service is "BUTTER." Susie helps you in picking out the frames and I have never disagreed with her she knows her business! I would recommend this shop to anyone because they know what they are doing, they are happy with what they do and it's shows. I have even made friends with other customers because the place is small and actually family oriented, they remember your name, your birthday, your family members. I love these people!

Great customer service and selection of frames

    Posted by rhymeswithgina on 06/23/2006

I love this place! I just switched over last year. My old place didn't have any frames I liked and my plan only allows me to get new frames every two years. So I went to a bunch of optometry shops looking for frames. I went into this place and told them I was just looking and asked if I could try on some frames. They said, "Of course!". They actually took the time to help me pick out a frame that looked nice on me. Other places I went to left me alone to stare at the frames behind the glass... The place is kind of small, but very homely. Very accessible, the N-judah stops in front of the store). Amazing customer service (they even remember your name!). The staff is great because they pick out frames that compliment your face shape. They have frames from affordable (~$110, I don't know how much frames usally cost but I have insurance that covers up to $120 for the frames) to high end. The have a medium amount of frames but they're all very trendy/classic/cute. They don't carry ugly frames. Dr. Dong did a thorough eye exam. It was comparable to my last place but what puts this place over the top is the amazing customer service and selection of frames.
