In 1981, Walter Schmidt and John Rupke met as opposing counsel in a court case in Waukesha, Wisconsin. During the trial of the dispute, each became impressed with the other's skill, thoroughness, and integrity. Shortly after the trial they founded Schmidt & Rupke, S.C., a law firm based on those qualities.Since then, the firm has been a model of stability in today's volatile legal marketplace.
