    There is hope!

    Posted by Sbrittain on 01/13/2009

I am a 41 year old woman who has suffered from Crohn's diseaese for over half of my life. I have spent thousands of dollars that I didn't have on surgeries and medications all in the name of getting well. In 1997 I had an experimental surgery. All but 6" of my large intestines were removed. My small intestines were brought down to form a "J" and reconnected with the remaining 6" of my colon. This is called a "J" pouch. I was better for a while, but after the years passed I became much worse. I was taking several medicataions to prolong another surgery. These medications were expensive, they didn't work, and they caused other health issues. When I called Stout Chiropractic in September of 2008 to inquire about acupuncture I was grasping at straws. The sweetest voice answered the phone. The name behind that voice is Leanne. She was so kind and compassionate! After taking all of my information she told me she would see if Dr. Ben (Stout) could help me. When she called me back she explained that Dr. Ben couldn't promise anything, but would do his best to help me. They got me in the next day. I was so nervous, because I had never done anything like that before, and I am scared of needles! After meeting Dr. Ben I was at ease. You can just see that he is a very caring person, who truly wants to help others. He listened to me give every detail of my health. He "LISTENED" to me! That is a huge deal when you haven't been heard reguarding your own health for years! After listening to me and asking questions he began my first acupuncture treatment. Guess what? It didn't hurt. While placing the needles where they needed to be, he made mention of certain foods that cause problems for people with intestinal troubles. He also made mention of a pro-biotic. This was all information that he gave me to use or not. I chose to use. While making my next appointment I met another sweet woman. Her name is Marilyn. She took the time to give me some information that may be of help to me. She didn't have to do that, but as I said, she is very sweet! Although Dr. Ben is who I usually see, there have been a couple of times that his wife, Dr. Melissa has given me treatments. She did a wonderful job as well. All of these people who make up Stout Chiropractic have changed my life in such a positive way. I am no longer taking the medications I mentioned earlier. I started taking less medicine after 2 weeks of treatment and listening to Dr. Ben's suggestions. I believe that is a miracle! I am able to do things I never dreamed to be possible. The people closest to me are amazed at the progress I have made in such a short time. When you walk through the doors of Stout Chiropractic, know that you will be treated with respect, kindness, and you will be given professional, yet laid back treatment. Saying thank you seems like such a small way of expressing my gratitude to all those at Stout Chiropractic who have given me quality of life, but thank you. I wish for all of you reading this, the same good health that I now have. There is hope! A more than happy patient! Stephanie B.

I always receive great, personalized service from Dr. Stout and his staff. They are all very personable and very concerned about their patients. I would (and have!) recommended them.
