    DON'T waste your time OR money!

    We visited the World Shooting Complex last night and let me tell you how disappointed I was! The only reason I give this restaurant one star is because I couldn't give them none, and after all, they do have tables and chairs. It started when we walked in the door (party of 4, to celebrate a friend's birthday). We were shown right to a table with a very nice view. After that, it was ALL downhill! The service was lousy at best. The food? PLEASE...someone take that "magic dust" shaker AWAY from the cook!! By the time I was in the car headed home (almost 2 hours later, mind you) I had such swollen legs and hands from all the sodium. But let's talk about the delicious appetizers that never arrived until AFTER our dinner was served. Not that we didn't ask where they were and when they actually did arrive at our table, they were cold. A clue to the server should have been when they finally brought our meals after we sat there for over an hour watching all the people that came in after us enjoying their meals, and we immediately asked for go boxes which she never brought after being asked TWICE. I finally went to get the manager...enough was enough. 15 minutes to get waited on at all, another 45 to get our meals (it's not that we ordered anything special either) and then sitting and waiting, waiting, waiting for our waitress, ANY waitress to come by. AAGGHH!! We left...and since we're local folks, not visitors, we WON'T recommend this place to anyone!! It's a real shame, too, because we experience a totally different atmosphere at the O'Fallon, IL, location where the food is great, the service was excellent and the waitresses drive very nice cars!

    Best BBQ Ever

    17th street is hands down the best bbq I've ever had. The meat is incredibly tender, moist, and tasty. They don't take reservations there and even once you are seated, the orders take a while to come up, but believe me, it is worth the wait. They don't have much atmosphere either, but people come here for the food.

    If you like BBQ & just so happened to be in the area, don't miss the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to eat at 17th Street Bar & Grill. They definitely know what they are doing when it comes to slow cooking ribs, and their sauce and "Magic Dust" is to die for. And when you're done and on your way, just smell your fingertips to make it all come back again.
