    CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY

    Posted by mommarea on 04/18/2008

My friend and I just ate at Sammy's Seafood about an hour ago. We both ordered the $12.95 special and a drink. Our bill was over $40.00. When we questioned the math we were told that the drinks were $3.00 each (for non-alcholic drinks - I had a coke with one refill and my friend had one glass of tea). This doesn't add up to $40.00 even when you add the taxes. Turns out the ADDED the TIP on our BILL but NEVER told us this. CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY! Oh by the way the toilet in the women's room didn't work and was quite nasty.

variety of seafood dishes, in the french quarter, parking is a challenge, very noisy, souvenirs, look forward to shopping around the quarter in the many varied shops.

Must have caught them on a bad night. The service was abysmal. The maitre d' did his best to goose the staff but it didn't seem to be working except for one guy who was working a large party for all they were worth. My fried oysters and catfish were good but my wife's steak was way overdone when she asked for medium rare. I know it's the French Quarter but it was just too loud in the restaurant. Overall kind of diappointing.

    Delicious

have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. the stuffed shrimp and the stuffed crabs are excellent. the red beans and rice are the best i've had. each time i went with friends and we all enjoyed our meals, no complaints and that's saying a lot as we are all very picky!
