Pleasant staff, knowledgeable and caring dentists, and efficient and timely appointments. everything was explained thoroughly. yes, there was a financial discrepancy but they took care of it immediately. Highly recommend.

    Stay away from this practice

Shortly after having a root canal done at this practice, I started developing all kinds of lumps and scars around the tooth where the root canal was done. I called their office, and they had me come over for the visit. For the pea sized lump that developed right after the root canal was done, and for which I now believe is a mandibular tori (often caused by a stress to the tooth area), I was told that - you probably had that all your life but never noticed it?! A pea sized lump that I haven't noticed for 40 years? Needless to mention, they also had ready explanation for the other issues that I came to visit them about. None to do with the root canal procedure, during which my dentist also saw at least three or four patients in parallel. But what really prompted me to write this was the fact that they actually charged me for the follow up visit, even though they specifically told me that there would be no charge. When I called and reminded them that they said there wouldn't be any charges, I just got yelled at and was told that I would have to pay up.

    WARNING! RIP-OFF!

    Posted by edwards.john48 on 10/27/2008

Don't be surprised if you'll receive another bill from them after a year(!) 2 weeks ago I received a letter from a collection agency, turns out that some how i still owe them $500! they never even contacted me about this! since it is not their problem anymore, calling them or showing them their receipts won't help! when i called to the insurance company and it turns out that they billed them for 8 fillings instead of 3. I'm still waiting for x-rays from another doctor as a proof, then I'm going to report this case as a fraud (if it won't work I'll go to court). (I also herd that this company is almost bankrupted (laying off employees, cutting off working hours...), maybe 'extra-billing' is one of their ways to raise funds).

    ROBBERS

    Posted by tsvetochki on 10/20/2008

I was a patient of Philadelphia Dental Associates and I am SO DISAPPOINTED! Looks like that office is out of business and they are trying to rob every patient! their charges are fraudulent! They charged my insurance for double service they didn't do! Because my insurance didn't have enough money they SOLD me to Collection Company.
