DISGUSTING

This place is NOT authentic -- the food is TERRIBLE, service worse and I have no idea why anyone who choose to eat here vs. the hundreds of other wonderful restaurants in the New Orleans area. Don't waste your time - I wouldn't feed my dog the food they serve in this place. Find a local "taco truck" for the real deal for under $5

I have to say this place is AWESOME. The service is great! The food is great. For the price you pay you definitely get your money's worth. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great for the family as well.

Overall the food was ok - but prices are way to high and the service isn't any good. I realize this is a mexican restaurant - but that DOESN'T mean that the server shouldn't speak english! We won't be back - visit Chevy's on vets for REAL good mexican food!

This is the best restaurant ever. All of the staff are very friendly, and the service is super quick. All of the food is of excellent quality. I eat here at least once a week. I love margaritas, and the Top Shelf frozen margarita at Carreta's is the best I have ever had--and I have tried a great many margaritas in a lot of cities due to my travels with work. The live music adds to the wonderful atmosphere.

We've been for both lunch and dinner - and BOTH times the service and food were terrible! The staff is incompetent, the food VERY poor quality, an overall the experience is mediocre at best. I would suggest La Casa Gomez or Casa Garcia for much better food and much better prices - don't waste your time at this place!
