    Less of a "zoo" feel

Posted by Adrian H. on 11/15/2005

The Wildlife World Zoo has a different feeling from a traditional zoo. It gives the visitor the feeling that they are right there with the animals. There are more natural looking exhibits and it has a great feel. The Wildlife World Zoo is a little further out there than the Phoenix Zoo, but it is worth the drive. Make sure you wear your walking shoes, no flip flops!!

    Nice Zoo Experience

Posted by Andrea O. on 10/26/2005

We like this zoo a lot! It is a little farther for us to go to than the other zoo, but well worth it. We can actually make it through the zoo, and feel as if we have seen everything we wanted to see, while taking our time. We don't feel like we are rushing. The animals are so close, especially the jaguar, it is strange to be able to walk right under him, and know he is less than 4 ft away. My son loved the parrot feeding, they do this at a certain time, and you get to go in, grab some apples, and the birds just land on you. It is neat.

    Fun Family Zoo

Posted by Marisa G. on 09/21/2005

I spent a few hours at the zoo with my almost 2 year old and a few friends and their almost 2 year old. We go there right when the opened, and were greeted with a friendly staff. The maps are easy to follow, and almost all of the animals were awake and visible for the crowd. You can take food in with you, as long as it is sealed (water, snacks etc). The only bad part about the zoo, are the walking paths. They are hard dirt and lots of very small rocks, and the paths are NOT stroller friendly. Wear comfortable walking shoes, or you will have SORE FEET They have a nice gift shop, but a lot of the items (even for a gift shop) were heavily overpriced in my opinion. The parking is horrible if you have a small car. It is all dirt and small/medium sized rocks, very tough on small cars. Make sure to go with friends that have a truck or SUV.

    Up close and personal

I love the Wildlife World Zoo! Unlike some other zoos, this one lets you get up close and personal with the animals. You can even feed the giraffes. They have a lot of exotic animals, including a couple of beautiful white tigers. They also have an extensive collection of birds. Parking is limited. If you go to one zoo in Phoenix, go to this one!

A lot to see, but expensive

Posted by Carmen L. on 08/04/2005

We went to this wildlife zoo on a field trip for my child's school. We had a great time and there was lot to do there, but the price was expensive. They tried to keep most of the animals in more of a natural habitat, so you were a little more up close with the animals. I would recommend it, if you can afford it.
