    CAN'T PAY THEIR BILLS!!!!!!

    Posted by flabergasted1 on 10/31/2008

They can't pay their bills. 5 months overdue. They keep lying to me and not returning my calls. Very sad. I think they are having financial problems. But why tell me they will pay me, have me do the work and lie. I even went to eat there with friends and gave them money. Still no check. Beware. Food wasn't that great either.

    Major decline in quality

    Posted by mnbrewer on 10/09/2008

We used to go to this majors location 3 to 4 times a week for lunch or a drink after work. We loved it, the bartenders were always friendly and the food was good. Well lastnight we went to watch a playoff game and have dinner. For the first time we sat in the restaurant part and not the bar. The guy who seated us was friendly but our waitress didn't even know 2 beers they had on tap. She was rude and had no knowledge of the menu or drinks. This is the second time in a row i have gone to this location only to be disappointed. About a month before this we went to the bar area and tried to order drinks after working late. It was about 9:30 when we got there and 9:50 before we had a drink. Once the bartender came over with our drinks he informed us that we were cutoff. Now I understand that some people need to be cut off however when you come from working a 10 hour day and order a beer its getting ridiculous. After both times we headed up the road to Joe Sensors where they know how to treat a customer.

    Absolutely Terrible

    Posted by Sarahsssss on 05/29/2008

I was married in Edina and stupidly told all my guests that we could continue the festivities at the Bloomington Majors. It was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant/bar I have ever had and I would NEVER recommend. They were rude, service was terrible, and they did not let my 54 year old aunt in because she did not have her identification (although bars should ask id, I believe this is a little extreme wouldn't you say). I will not be going back and would strongly recommend finding somewhere else to spend your money.

    Good food and atmosphere

If you like sports bars, Major's is for you. I enjoy going here for lunch. You can select mashed potatoes, veggies or fries to go with your entree....selection is a luxury in restaurants nowadays. I'm always satisfied with the portions. They have good appetizers...I used to like their nacho's but had them recently and they were bad. But the wings are very good. The Golden Valley location is nice also, an older feel with some romantic booth seeting and a dance floor at night.

    Worst place on earth

    Posted by sheelee on 08/25/2006

I have been there a few times, never very good service, always rude but the last time i couldnt believe they let customers walk out of there so unhappy. The manager then made us feel like it was our fault our food was wrong and our bill and everything else. if you hate bad service do not go here.

    This place has it

    Posted by mccurdyb on 09/13/2005

This place is great. First of all, it's in an ideal location. Right off the busy 494/Normandale highways, it's ideal for a cool place to chill, have a few cocktails, and the big screen tvs make game watching a unique experience. The food is fantastic to say the least. I especially enjoy their walleye sandwhich, which some have questioned if it is the real thing or not, but it tastes terrific nonetheless.

the music is way out of date, they have lots of tvs but all to the same games and no hd or plasma its just por por por, the only reason why they do any good is because they are the only place in the area

    I did not feel welcome

    Posted by guinnesses on 11/27/2004

The atmosphere is nice, but it all doesn't matter when you have bartenders with attitude problems. There were maybe 12 people in the bar and had to literally flag down one of the two bartenders after being ignored for 10 minutes. Asking for a menu is also apparently a bother for them. My date and I both wanted our own build-your-own pizza. After my date ordered I stated I'd like a pizza as well, and the bartender glared at me as if I was joking. She then ignored us and we cancelled our (1 pizza) order. We did not feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Not a place to see live music

    Posted by opiejaun on 03/19/2003

This venue may be an above average sports bar but one Thursday evening I saw Boogie Wonderland here and was surprised at the my disappointment. The layout of this place is odd as there are no seats at all close to the stage. In fact the band plays in what appears to be an addition to the original building. There is no dance floor to speak of, unless you consider the front carpeted area of the stage. This venue was extremely crowded and left you no choice but to beg at the bar for drinks. This poor review should not be reflective of the band Boogie Wonderland. Under the conditions they were just fine and played well.

    Good

What you read, isn't what you get...

The open area is nice, but our table was in a strange place. Temperature of the place it self, was also strange. Hot, then cold, then hot....Food was mediocre. The pasta item I asked our server about he didn't know and wasn't about to check with kitchen on. My chicken on my sandwich had a wierd yellow sauce on it. My 'double-garlic' mashed potatoes were cold with no garlic taste at all. I couldn't tell the server because he never returned until it was time to offer dessert (and spill water on one of us), which was ordered and overcooked. I would not try this place again, unless it would be to hang out in the bar. Otherwise, nothing that memorable about it.
