    Deceptive Business Practices

    Posted by reb1965 on 12/06/2008

I bought a pre-certified X5. I drove it and accepted it in the "as is " condition as you do when you buy a used car. The car smelled heavily like that "new car" fragrance. I was hoping it would dissipate. Unfortunately, it did ...ONLY TO REVEAL THE OVERWHELMING SMELL OF A SMOKER'S CAR!! I found soaked frangrance napkins in the arm rest that they must have put there to mask the smoke smell. I am pursuing this with Vista and they are not cooperating. I have sent a letter to BMW of North America and the Better businnes Bureau. I am most likely going to pursue this in court b/c this is deceptive business practice

    Great Service!

    Posted by itelllc on 10/26/2008

I had the pleasure of bringing my 2006 760LI into Vista?s service facility Saturday morning, the 25th of October. I was greeted, first by the valet?s as if I was a VIP, buying, rather than servicing my car. The woman at the service desk Lauren was very friendly while I waited to meet my service adviser Jared Solomon. Lauren?s counterpart, Casey and I shared stories about working on cars, and I was kept pleasantly engaged until Jared had time to meet with me. Jared handled my issue, loose control arms, immediately, walking me outside and getting Hans, your alignment specialist, who quickly assessed the situation, sharing a few kind words about growing up in the country, and took my car back to the shop. Jared made sure I had a loaner, and at that point I was quickly out the door. Nacho, the valet, gave my car a few nice compliments and made sure I had the loaner, inspecting it with me thoroughly. I was brought back at 5:00pm to pick up my car. Hans had completely fixed the problem, and although it was closing time, Jared, Casey, and the valet made sure I had all my paperwork and my car was cleaned and ready to go. Even at the cashier?s desk, I was treated like family. All in all, this was a very professional and most pleasant experience. I enacted with a wide variety of your staff, and without fail, each and every one of them had kind words and a few minutes to spare for a very busy Saturday afternoon. 3 other of my employees have purchased cars at Vista, and we are 2 new and 2 used. Without fail, Vista?s service has been the joy of owning a BMW. Nowhere else have I seen the attention and care that I have seen under Vista?s roof. I would highly recommend the BMW experience, Vista?s way, to all of my friends, associates, and relatives. Congratulations on a job very well done! PS: Thanks to Gaynor for giving me everyone?s names!

    Awful loaner program

    Posted by clyew on 09/06/2007

If you are going to have a loaner program then make it available to anyone servicing their car at Vista, right? Vista has a policy that if your car is too old then you can't get a loaner. I was told today that my 2002 bmw was too old and I could not get a loaner - I had to rent a car from Enterprise instead. I am overdue for maintenance and have a couple of things wrong with my car that was going to cost over $2500 in parts/labor. The older the car, the more things to fix. You would think that Vista would want me as a customer since I'm the one spending the most money there. Also, when I made the appt., I specifically asked for a loaner. The receptionist had all of my information in front of her (we'd been there plenty of times before) and could have easily told me it was not their policy to provide loaners for older models. Instead, she said that I would have to talk to a service manager. I had to actually go to the dealer to find out about their 'policy' when she could have told me over the phone. Waste of my time and poor management of customer expectations. Morale of the story is to either lease your BMW or purchase it but don't take it to Vista. I'm taking my car to another dealer and telling everyone this story.
