    TERRIBLE!

Posted by Vegas Sammie on 10/10/2009

I gave this Indian 1 star because of the decor. The food is quite honestly terrible. I love Indian food & have tried different variations all over the world & this by far is the worst. They are using dark chicken meat in the Korma & chicken tikka masala which should be white meat. The sauce for these 2 dishes should be creamy & full of flavor...The masala tasted like tomatoe & Basil, the Korma hmmmm of nothing! My advice don't waste your money...Have a steak!

    Very good food

I ate here for the first time yesterday after seeing it for many years. Some of the best Indian my wife and I have ever had, and likely the best in Vegas that we have had. The dishes were very tasty, and had a fresh and flavorful quality to them. The decor is very nice and they have redone the outside (so it looks nothing like the picture). I found the service to be polite and friendly. The naan was good, but not great, certainly not the best I have ever had, but the other dishes were very good. Overall, very good.

Best Indian Food in Las Vegas

    Posted by tweetjj on 01/10/2009

I have been eating at this restaurant for many years. I look forward to meetings that take me near the Strip, just so I can I have the lunch buffet. Excellent variety of food and friendly staff. The only down are the location and the entree prices are a little high. The lunch buffet is reasonable though. I have been to several Indian restaurants in the valley, but always leave thinking it wasn't as good as Indian Palace. Tom

    Good food, cheap price

I just moved in the city and was looking for a good Indian restaurant with good prices. After reading the other reviews on this site, I decided to try it but remembering that I might get unfriendly service but good food. I went there to try their lunch buffet, the other reviewers were right, the food and the price were good. As for the service, I didn't think they were unfriendly. I thought the waiters were "quite", maybe you can see that as unfriendly. But they were on top of it, they contantly filled up my water and immediatly took the dirty plates away. Overall, it was a good experience, I recommend it.

Food good enough to keep us coming back despite one experience

They have the better Indian food in all of Vegas. If you like spicy food, they know how to put on the heat, when asked to. The chicken and lamb dishes and nan are fantastic. However, poor attitudes and customer service seem to be their downfall. Order, eat, pay, and leave...they indirectly rush you in that order and without a smile. But we love the food so much we still go there. On our drive there, we try to guess if they will be either moody or unfriendly...sorta prepping and coaching ourselves to brush off their bad customer service and be mindful that we're going for the food. One major disgust for me -- I was using their restroom before being served. I was in a stall and heard the waitress (the older woman) come out of the other stall, after hearing her flush. She went straight out the door without washing her hands. We all know that's not acceptable. Now I was just hoping that she washed her hands in their kitchen sink! Well, take from this truth what you want. If it doesn't bother you, then enjoy the great food. At least it wasn't the cook I caught.

The other reviews are true - the location isn't that great... As far as Indian lunch buffets go though, this is the best we've had so far. Everything seemed very fresh and there was a great selection. I can't wait to go back.

    The Best in Las Vegas

    Posted by westie2 on 11/03/2006

We arrived at about 6PM to find the parking lot almost full due to a birthday celebration by a large group of Red Hats. I became concerned we would be late for our show because of a back up in the kitchen, but we were able to place our orders first. We split orders of chicken tika marsala, chicken korma, naan and basmati rice. The chicken was extremely tender and everything was delicious as usual. India Palace is a bargain in comparison to other Las Vegas Indian restaurants and the food is far more dependable.

    Terrific buffet!

    Posted by mssonni on 08/03/2006

My husband and I are seriously into Indian food. We decided to check out this place, and as we were driving through a not so great part of town, we started to re-think our decision. Just about that time we saw it, and thought we'd have a look. The inside doesn't match the wonky surroundings at all -- it's really very nice. The buffet was spectacular -- very authentic Indian food, and having lived in England and had lots of this cuisine, this is high praise. The saag was creamy, the salad was crisp, the chutneys tangy and savory, meat entrees were perfect. They even had an unusual veggie dish with a tart sweet flavor that I'd never had. They bring fresh naan to the table, and have more than the standard Indian beer. Sometimes on Indian buffets they're always the same, but we've been back more than once and it was different each time -- yet retained the deliciousness. You really should give it a try.

Great south Indian food! Store is a little scary, but worth eating there! Just like India!
