Not a place I would go again!
Posted by cobraMSTG on 05/22/2009
We delivered our wheel at the end of April to be fixed, and they said they wold call when it was ready......we never received a call. We called and they said our wheel had been ready for a while...well? When I arrived to pick the wheel up, I couldn't find my yellow slip, and they were not very helpful in trying to help me find my wheel. They being tire & wheel people managed to mount my tire back onto my wheel backwards, even though it says on the wheel "this side in" in the fact that they do this for a living they should be able to do this minor task. Well long story short we will not be patrons of this business again.

Take your business ELSEWHERE
Posted by NzZ on 05/03/2009
This specialty shop is not special by any means. They pick over the price for everything and at the end of the day, try to find ways to charge you more for the simple service you may ask of them. They told me my rims were done, but the next phone call said they needed to fix the seal as I had must broken it when I bent the rim. However, the tires had AIR in them when I dropped them off. After a little research, it was suggested to me by another wheel specialist told me they must have broken the seal themselves while they were fixing my rims. It cost me an extra $100. I will NOT be going here again, neither should you. Give your money to someone else.

According to other people, good quality work, but terrible customer service on phone
Posted by tekrice on 02/23/2009
I had a list of 9 shops to call and get quotes for on refinishing my aftermarket wheels. The guy answered the phone by saying "Hello?" So I asked him is this Ye Ole Wheel Shop? He sounded frustrated and said yes.......
From that point on, my attempts to get him to answer my question made it seem like I was a hassel and bothering him. I remember calling 4 months ago and got hold of a really nice lady who rhelped me a lot, and I ended up refinishing 2 sets of wheels there.
Unfortunately, after speaking to him today, I will not be going back to Ye Ole Wheel Shop. The guy on the on the end was rude, disrespectful , and completely dismissive. I will be taking all my future business else where.

Your number is always busy

I have been trying to call for two days now and your number is constantly busy. I was reffed to you by Firestone to have one of my wheels fixed. It has a hair line crack in it and you came highly recommended, unfortunately I can not get through to your business using the 410 796 8400 number as it is constantly busy. Please provide an alternate number so I may reach you.

Magic wheel fixers
Posted by Straw534 on 10/05/2008
I've used this place twice to fix wheels that were badly damaged. They are amazing.
Today I was able to have a bent saab wheel fixed while I waited (about 90 minutes) and the technician was very informative and helpful.
Another reviewer complained about them being short on the phone, but even if that's true, it does not detract from their ability.

ABSOLUTELY HORRBILE AND RUDE.

Called to get some information about fixing a wheelcrack, said he couldn't give a price quote, I asked if I could just get a ball park from best to worst case scenario, and HE YELLED AT ME, no joke! When I told him he didn't need to take that tone with me, he hung up. I WILL NEVER DO BUISNESS WITH A COMPANY THAT TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. I recommend that you don't even bother calling. I know at least a dozen other shops interested in helping me with better customer service.
