HAIR IN TAKE OUT
Posted by wowLA on 12/17/2008
This restaurant has long been a favorite. Until Today when we got take out and there was a long black hair in my friends noodles. We threw out our over priced Pho and walked to Quizno's.
The taste had always been great, but cleanliness is a MUST in a restaurant.
My friend now will never go back, and he told everyone we work with about so the word of mouth in the 90048 zip code is not good.....

Worst Pho I've ever had, TERRIBLE service!
Posted by chrisbueno on 10/12/2008
Worst Pho I've ever had. TERRIBLE service. Stingy with the limes. I have been to a lot of Pho's but this one was definitely a waist of my money. I had a steak pho and everything was bad, especially the meat in it, it wasn't tender at all and the taste of the soup was more like my toilet water. If you want to eat at a descent Pho go to this one pho place in Silverlake, it's called Pho Cafe just google it. The place doesn't have a sign outside but looks very modern inside and is busy full of Asians, and usually that means a good thing.

Best Vietnamese Food on The Westside
Posted by angelena123 on 09/20/2008
The food is great and authentically Vietnamese. My favorites are the Vietnamese sandwiches, broken rice combination, pork vermicelli combination, and Vietnamese crepes. It's a little pricier than the hole-in-the wall places in little Saigon but still very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is much nicer. The service is reasonable and quick, even on take-out orders. We eat there all the time.

trendy but authentic vietnamese food
Posted by cam413 on 02/22/2008
as a vietnamese person living in la, it's hard to find decent authentic vietnamese food. this place actually compares favorably to the vietnamese restaurants in little saigon in orange county, & i eat here or @ its ventura blvd branch @ least 1-2x/wk. the so-called vietnamese restaurants in koreatown are all owned by koreans or chinese, & are about as authentic as pf chang's is for chinese food. love the vietnamese crepes, the egg rolls, the chicken xiu xiu, the baguettes, the different types of pho & vermicelli. the service is always prompt & courteous w/o obsequiousness, & the prices are reasonable.

There isn't much pho to be fou...
Posted by Faulkner99 on 12/04/2007
There isn't much pho to be found in the West Hollywood/Beverly/Grove vicinity, so this place is the go-to place when you don't want to drive half an hour for a hearty bowl of broth. The pho isn't the most flavorful I've had, but it's certainly good, and consistent. Not too many tables and it can get pretty busy at dinnertime. Parking can be tricky too.

mediocre "westside" bowl
Posted by morefiction on 07/19/2007
The only reason that I tried this place is because it was on west of Korea town, and it proved once again that there is no good pho west of Korea town. I spent last summer living off of 3 bowls a day, believe me when I say that this place is slightly more expensive than others, slightly smaller than others, and far less tasty than others. Pho shouldn't be stingy like this one.

Dine elsewhere.
Posted by pikake21 on 03/30/2007
I eat a lot of pho. I mean A LOT. But this place just didn't have it goin on. I ordered seafood pho and it had a very strange taste to it. The broth did tasted more like a canned soup stock or something--I still can't put my finger on it. Also, the seafood was not very fresh tasting. The fish cake had a sort of off taste to them. I also ordered egg rolls, which just okay. I really wanted to love this place, as it had come recommended to me through a friend, but I would say that if you are looking for some good pho you should look elsewhere. I'm thinking that maybe this place just caters to a "trendy healthy" habit of eating Vietnamese food.

Great Vietnamese food without the drive!
Posted by smooph on 11/05/2006
I was so happy to find this place, I don't have to drive 30 miles for good pho anymore! The service was fast and friendly, my pho was awesome (I basically got Pho Tai, because I have gotten some scary meatballs before) but when I go back, I am getting the meatballs too, as everything else about the place was superb. Great prices too!

High Fashion - Vietnamese Food
Posted by h_dinh on 09/18/2006
Cute little Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of West Hollywood. Good food, right price, and absolutely Phobulous. If you're in the area and craving for pho or other exotic Vietnamese food, this is the place to visit. They also have authentic Vietnamese paintings (artists are actually from Vietnam) for sale on their walls.
