    big latino hand out, not good for gringos

    I went there with a 40 person birthday party, got charged 8 dollars for a komakaze shot. Got asked to leave because I was "blocking the doorway" when I was thirty feet from the door sitting at the bar. I thought it was just me getting the feeling I was being discriminated against because I wasn't mexican, but my other friends had the exact same preception. This bar is a no for gringos and a go for cholos.

    ...because I just went there last night and it is *not* a sound lounge, but a Latin bar with a live band playing mostly merengue. And it's not a very good one either (try Roccapulco down the street with their live salsa).

    good spot, good music, good drinks. not too many spots anymore with a good hip hop loungey feel. not much of a meat market (a plus)and there is always something to dance to or with.

    Mix 26 was a good time. . . from what I remember. There was good music but I thought my date and I were the only people there!

    depending on the djs, this bar can be fun. it's not a big bar/club and it's divey, but if the music is good so is the atmosphere. the bar staff are nice, but if it's crowded, it's hard to get a drink.

    I went to check out master spinner Andrew Jervis, and a party called Zero db, which happened to be at 26 mix. Had never been there before, and I truly felt like I had been missing out all these years...very fun club, to sum it up. The music was jammin, but along with that, i liked the crowd, and the bartender seemed to actually pay attention. Highly recommended.

    All signs lead toward this being a great club. It's small, it's in a hip neighborhood, it draws all the latest DJ talent. Only one problem, everybody forgets to have a good time. Wander through here on any given evening and you'll see nary a smile in the place.
