I began with a.e.s. In 2003. The very first placement, a hard-to-fill temp-to-perm position with Rolex of Northern CA turned into a great five-year experience that only ended when the owner retired. Despite the downturn in the economy, a.e.s. has kept me busy with temp jobs. They really do go out of their way to make sure that client and employee retention remains at or close to 100%. The a.e.s determination at placement, job satisfaction, and quality of staffing goes beyond that percentage by miles. Miles of smiles is what one will experience with this agency, along with buckets of bucks... I have referred friends, acquaintances, and others looking for work to them, and have always heard only good reviews in return. For better than a decade, a.e.s. has stood head and shoulders above other agencies that I've had dealings with... they know the San Francisco business market, and I highly recommend them!

The only employment agency to use

    Posted by mporoy on 04/01/2008

As an employer I am an enthusiastic fan of this company. They pre-screened candidates and , because they understood our needs and culture they found just the right applicant. They even check with me when they come accross someone who looks right for us even when we don't think we have an opening. Some candidates are too good to lose...or we might be thinking about adding staff and they come at the right moment. Even with a HR background I can't face the mountains of responses to a job listing... the internet has just made it easier for us to get a lot of response and harder to find a good match. If you can't afford to hire the wrong person you need AES.

Good Agency, Got me a job quickly.

    Posted by 01djohnson on 02/06/2007

I had a good experience working with them from day one. They had a specific job to discuss and they had information about the company ready for me when I came in. The testing wasn't too bad. I finished mine in about 45 minutes. I had an interview with their client within 2 days, and I was hired almost as quickly. They handled my salary negotiation, and were able to get me more money then I had originally thought I would get. The recruiter remained in touch with me after I started too, and after a few weeks of working at my new job she sent me an evaluation to fill out to let them know what I thought of the job, and their service. I thought that was a nice touch. I totally dissagree with the previous review. That person sounds disgruntled because they didn't get the job.

    One In a Million!

I have worked with a lot of staffing firms, as a matter of fact; I can probably be called an expert by now. For a long time I have had a very sour taste in my mouth about recruiters and staffing firms. In my experience, they always have tons of jobs, until you get there and do all of the testing and paperwork, and then for some strange reason after you've spent and hour or more jumping through their hoops you hear "we don't have anything right now, but If something comes up, we'll call you". Having a passion for recruiting myself, this behavior had become very frustrating... until AES found me. Now, AES has never placed me in a position, but it's not for lack of trying on their part. My first visit was very productive; my recruiter Melissa is an angel. She spent more than an hour talking to me and listening to what my needs were. She was very honest about what she could and could not. She never made promises she could?t keep, and never tried to send me on interviews for positions that she knew I wasn't interested in. Melissa is a "Rock Star". I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Isabella. She too was kind and honest; everyone that I encountered at AES was genuinely nice. Melissa told me that I should never limit my options just because I like her, but if I ever really need help; I know I can count on AES.

    Worst Agency Experience Ever!

    Posted by about4567 on 12/05/2006

I don't recommend this agency at all. Both myself and several people that I have talked to agree, if you actually want a job and people that know what they are talking about, then go elsewhere. I don't even believe the postings above, sounds like something they would write about themselves just to get a "sale". This was my experience. They called me for a high level position they needed filled asap. They explained what they did, keeping an open mind, I signed up. They submited me for the position, only to tell me that the company wasn't interested, but they would keep my in mind for other positions. They hadn't even told me the name of the company, so I wasn't feeling let down thus far. During this time I had done my own interviewing and the company that offered me a position a week earlier called me to let me know, while they still wanted me for the position, did I know that my resume was being submited by some agency. I was ticked! In Advanced Employment's application they specifically ask who you have interviewed with, and I listed all the companies. Guess they didnt feel the need to read it, yet they want you to take an hour out of your day to fill it out. All and all, I patched things up and took the job, no thanks to these ignorant people. Guess thats the price you pay for a poorly run, small agency. Take my word and the few others I've spoken with, don't buy in to thier "charm" and go elsewhere.

    Certified Staff, Professional Office.

I have been in the recruiting industry for several years now, and when I came in to interview with this company I was very surprised to see how friendly and welcoming the staff was. As a Woman owned company AES has really created a name for its self in San Francisco. I am proud to say that I have been with the company for over a year now, and in that time have seen the growth, and success both of the business, and my personal finances! I strongly urge anyone who is tired of "agencies" to give AES and our staff a try.

A friendly agency - an oxymoron!

    Posted by nhette on 11/06/2006

When I think of agencies, I tend to think of boxed cubicles and overly dressed up non-smiling serious so-called experts. Well, not anymore! These people are actually friendly! They asked what I was looking for and they did not concentrate solely on my test scores! They looked at the overall package and what I have to offer! I feel like they have my best interests as opposed to simply making a profit. Kudos!

I've had a great experience with this agency. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. There was about an hour of testing, but they did everything they could to make it as painless as possible. The staff is quite knowledgeable and helped me find employment right away.
