My Favorite Spa
Posted by berry6 on 07/18/2009
I am always extremely impressed with the service that I receive at Vitality Unlimited Spa. The staff is always calm and welcoming and no matter how stressed I am when I enter the door, I feel relaxed when I leave! They really care about my needs and believe in what they do. I started coming for massages, but now frequent the spa for everything from manicures and pedicures to waxing to nutritional care! Vitality also carries several lines of high-end products that have become a part of my daily life. I truly have seen a change in my overall wellness since becoming a regular customer of Vitality! I'll be a customer for life!

Extremely Disappointed
Posted by blh6smart on 07/10/2009
My family booked a total of 9 services for a spa-day. Unfortunately, one of the massages that had specifically been requested and confirmed suddenly wasn't available when we arrived. Then the appointments themselves were mixed up and I was left laying on a table on my bad back for 45 minutes waiting for my next service. When the massage therapist finally arrived I specifically asked if the rest of my family was finished as I didn't want to leave them waiting and I could have done without the service. I was told no only to find out that they were indeed waiting in the very small lobby while I finished.
While waiting, my mother purchased future services, that we then decided, after discussing the overall experience, we no longer wanted. When we called to cancel the future services and request a refund on the credit card, the owner of the spa, Michele, rather than apologizing for issues we'd encountered and cheerfully refunding us, instead argued with us about the services, made excuses for the lack of service and then finally told us she would take care of it the next day. I asked that she contact us to confirm the credit had been issued. Two days later, after not hearing from her, I called the spa to confirm and the owner told me she had credited the amount less $20 because she was charged that amount by her credit card company for processing the refund. So bottom line, we were charged $20 for services that we didn't receive.
While the massage staff seemed capable enough, the overall experience was not pleasant. Despite stating on their website that "Stressed minds, bodies, and spirits are soothed, centered and nourished," we were instead left more stressed and frustrated by the lack of customer service and the overall attitude of the owner.
I would not recommend this spa if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

So comfortable!

I visit Vitality Spa every month for waxing and a massage. They are so pleasant and caring! Nelly gives by far the best massage I have ever had! She makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Bonnie does my waxing and is very sweet and professional. I never feel uncomfortable and she is super fast. They are always accommodating if I need to move my appointment, even on short notice. I love it there!

Great place for a pedicure
Posted by aboch on 05/28/2008
I've never had a pedi before, but sarah made the first experience really great. The women are so friendly and talkative. It was like getting together with "the girls" and talking. You sit in a massage chair while you get a foot soak and massage. They exfoliate and use a pumice stone. My poor toes looked aweful, but now I can't wait to wear my sandles! I wasn't particularly happy with my manicure though. The nailpolish looks gathered at the cuticles and I got nipped a few times. Otherwise, I will definately go back for pedicures!

Will not go back, ever!

I went there for the first time and last time for a microdermabraison. The clerk was unpleasant and the spa itself did not have a relaxing feel at all .Bonnie was my beautician. She took me to the room, ehich had bright light one and asked me to underss in front of her and she put a towel around be (a bit akward). She was dry and brusque and hurt me a lot. She kept using extemely hot towels and stones on my face, started slapping it and pinching it. I was anxious the all time, waiting for the next thing coming to hurt me. I like my facials to be soft and relaxing. This was NOT it. Plus the bright neon lights were on the whole time and the room needs updating. The sheets did not match, looked old and had bleach stained...Not what I expect for a facial that costd $110!

More medical - clinic feeling than luxury spa.

Michele and every one of her staff make Vitality Unlimited a place to be pampered. The private and cozy Spa is filled with a spirit of peace and compassion and is perfect for those that want that special touch. I am especially appreciative of Michele's knowledge and healing arts skill. Her chiropractor on staff is Dr. Dawn - the best in town. Vitality Unlimited does all they can for me for a relaxing and benefitial visit. Michele is second generation with her skill in nutrition and herbs and suppliments as well as massage. I am grateful for all that she has done for me and she has gone out of her way more than once for me.
