I took a reversible skirt in for hemming (it was way too long), and told her which "Side" I was most interested in keeping. (One side was blue, the other red.) I assumed I'd end up able to use just one side because of the hem. But Linda was careful to make a tiny, fully finished hem, and this makes it possible for me to use it as intended, as blue one day and red the next. It was, I'm sure, much more work for her, and I appreciate the thought and care she gave to this, especially when I told her I didn't expect to end up with it reversible. This is someone who takes pride in her work!
This has to be one of the best tailors; customer service is one you don't see much nowadays! My best friend recommended me this shop for my daughter's prom. When we arrived, a lady named Sonia who seems to be the owner saluted us with a happy smile and made us feel at home, giving my daughter and I full attention when we were there for the first fitting. When we came back to pick up dress, it was perfect! Fit my daughter like a glove and everything was on time.
After having another alterations "professional" botch the dress I wanted to wear to my son's wedding, I selected another dress and went to Joy Alterations. The bride had her dress hemmed there and was pleased. They hemmed my two layer dress just like I wanted it the first time and even did it the same day since I was in a bind. Very friendly and helpful. I wish I had gone there first. A "Joy" to work with.
