        South Side Animal Hospital serves the health needs of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other caged mammals in greater Edmonton. Dr. Heather Steele, Dr. Carol Black, Dr. Jackie Simmonds, Dr. Craig Wilkinson and the knowledgeable staff at SSAH are here to ensure your pets receive the care and attention they deserve. In addition to offering daytime emergency and critical care services, the hospital also provides full-service wellness and vaccination programs. Disease prevention and early diagnosis help pets live longer and healthier lives. Our hospital was started by Dr. Jack McManus in 1962. Dr. Ed Neufeld was the hospital director and veterinary surgeon at South Side Animal from 1992 to 2006. Dr Heather Steele has been the director of the clinic since October 2006.
