My daughter got the tattoo but I paid for it and feel I have a right to complain even if she wont. She went in with a sketch of a family tree idea - a tree with our family name ""Green"" incorporated into the roots. The sketch was rough but I imagined the ""artist"" would refine the 4th-grader-type tree into a stately oak with intricate roots and graceful tendrils. That's what artists do, right? You take in an idea and they turn it into art. Not everyone at Metamorphosis can do that. My daughter would not tell me the tattoo gun operators name, so just be sure to ask for anyone EXCEPT the guy that did the Green family tree.

My boyfriend and I were in Indy for the weekend. I got my septum pierced by Kristin. She did a great job. She was really friendly and made me feel really comfortable. The next day, we had tattoo appointments. I got a tattoo from Donnie and he did SUCH a good job! Better than I even expected! My boyfriend got a tattoo from Trevor. It was really, really good. Plus, Trevor was awesome to talk to. Everyone at the shop was really nice and professional. The jewelry there was great. Tattoos are a little pricey, but they do an amazing job. We'll definitely be back!

The shop is clean, funky, and a fun place to be. While I waited for Joe to finish my design I had a good time talking with the girls at the desk. Very friendly group. Joe was such a professional and must have redone my design 3-4 times and took feedback awesomely. We worked from a really realistic design to a freer, looser gestured asian/ancient art design. He's amazingly talented. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and forthcoming with any info that would help me keep my ink crisp, clean, and fantastic-looking long after it heals. He also offered free touch-up service up to 3 months after it heals should I request it - no appointment necessary. I highly recommend the shop and especially Joe Kelley's work.

My first piercings ever (belly button and nostril) were done in Goshen, Indiana, much closer to my hometown. It was an okay experience, though I was given little information about aftercare and both got infected.
After moving to Bloomington for college and hearing great things about Metamorphosis, I gave it a try. The facilities were very clean and the atmosphere was great - everyone I encountered, staff and clients, were friendly. As a fairly nervous person, I felt completely at ease here.
In May 2007, I went for a ""hood"" piercing, done by Kristin. She was very professional, yet fun, and the piercing turned out perfect. I have never had a single problem with it and her advice on after care was much appreciated.
In January 2008 I returned to Metamophosis for my first tattoo, done by Jeff. I received the same professional treatment as I had received previously. I brought in a design that he helped improved on. He also helped me find just the right placement and positioning, as well as advised me on what shades would work best. Months later, it still looks as good as it did the day I got it. It wasn't as painful as I anticipated, he helped me relax and the entire process went by smoothly and swiftly. When I am ready for my second tattoo, I have no doubts about where I'll be going.

This was my and my wife's first tatto so we put some research in to the shop we wanted the work done. Friendly and professional. We chose Megan to do the work and we couldn't be happier. We had a scheduled appointment and everything was right on time. If I had a complaint it would only be that it was more painful than I expected but that doesn't have anyhthing to do with them.

The peeps down at this shop are friendly, professional, and talented. I have been to a lot of different shops and after the first time I went to Metamorphosis, I never went elsewhere. I saw a lot of reviews and some people say that they are pricey, but when you are doing permanent modifications to your body you have to remember that GOOD TATTS ARE NOT CHEAP AND CHEAP TATTS ARE NOT GOOD!! The same goes with piercings. These guys will never let you down.
I found a search site like this one and read good things about an artist at Metamorphosis named Donny-so that's who I chose for my artist. Over 3 or 4 sittings, he perfected my geisha girl tattoo that was a combination of art I had brought him, and some freehand work of his own. He did an amazing job at capturing my ideas first on paper, and then permanently on my body. They are all professionals, but if you want an original work of art, go see Donny!
I was very happy with the results, I love the tattoo that I have. But I had some problems with time. I had an appointment for three, got there early, and didn't get tattooed until 4:30. Other than that, it was great. I was willing to wait! They were very clean, very careful, and made sure to talk to me before hand. I loved it and I'm planning on going back again.

From start to finish the experience at Metamorphosis was professional and fair. The art done by the tattoo designers is top notch and worth every penny. Every detail in the process is explained before it is done and the artists listen to all clients concerns and opinions. If you are looking for great art and reasonable prices done by extremely talented artists this is the place to go in Indy HANDS DOWN!
