Koala-T-Preschool

Koala T preschool used to be an amazing place to enroll a child. But now, I would not trust this place to care for a duck! (check out in.gov/fssa for all of their violations-- dead ducks were found in a supply closet)

Koala T has been on probation since August of 2016. During this time they have received 130+ violations. Child abuse that was not reported was one of those violations.

Not only are there multiple right ups, but the staff turn over rate is horrid. The previous director (owner) couldn't keep up the small requirement of being at work for a minimum of 30 hours a week. So, she had to hand it off to someone else. That person however, does do her job! The "assistant director" or supervisor (whatever she calls herself that day) never has a smile on her face when greeting anyone. This is a child care facility.... you're supposed to be warm and welcoming; not cold and miserable.

Basically, all I am saying is that Koala T Preschool is not the same. You can find better. Your children will thank you.

Six months ago I would have never written this review I am about to write. However, I have had it up to here with this place. I have never liked the director. I find her to be extremely rude and also doesn't have a clue on what's going on in her own business. I tried to avoid her if possible. The assistant director at least has some clue on to what's going on, but one of her kids is always in tow. It makes it very difficult to speak to her and its very unprofessional. The lady "lunch lady" who opens the school is so fake. She puts on a show about how excited she to see the kids, but she scowls as soon as the kid walks away. She only cares about the food getting done. She loves to gossip about how much she dislikes the place. The other lady who is there is about as lazy as they come. She sits in the rocking chair and barely says hello. There are other staff members who like to sit and chit chat about how they partied the night before. I have walked in on so many conversations that are inappropriate, it's unbelievable! Half the staff look like lazy slobs or like they just got off their second jobs dancing on a stripper pole. My kids teacher's neck is often littered with hickeys, gross!!!!!
The place is a zoo in the morning, rooms are overflowing with more kids than should really be in there.
There is no organization whatsoever ever! The communication in the office is horrible. The director only cares about the all mighty dollar!!!
The staff turn over has become very high... What happened to all the wonderful teachers who truly cared about my kid???
Beware of this place, don't let the name "Koala-T" fool you, it's anything but!!!'

I couldn't be happier with the decision I made with my daughters school. I looked at all of the other preschools in the area, and Koala T just seemed liked the cleanest, most professional than any of them. Now mind you, I'm the "helicopter" mom as they call them. My daughter started there just after her 4th Bday and had previously stayed with her Grandma. I was just like any mom new to this whole preschool thing. I think for the first week I checked on her at nap time everyday, which I loved that they allowed that :) They have really healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks. And OMG! The activities and field trips they take are like no other! It's sooooo cool! I was able to attend the majority of them and was so pleased with how organized they were. All of my daughters teachers have been wonderful! They are totally on top of it and genuinely love the kids ❤️ And how the directors remember all of the kids names is beyond me! Goes to show how it's a family type environment. Today is are last day with Koala T as we are off to Kindergarten. It's completely bittersweet for us. We will miss everyone soo much! They have out together a portfolio of everything she's learned over the year... How cool is that! I HIGHLY recommend Koala T to anyone.

In the beginning, it was hard for me to leave my child each morning, but over the last several months it has gotten easier and easier. My daughter loves getting up and getting ready for school each morning. The teachers do an awesome job at making me and my daughter feel welcome every time we walk in the door. The owner and assistant director are always happy and more than happy to help in any way possible. The "lunch lady" always makes sure she greets each family as they walk in the door, as well as all the other teachers. It may not seem like a big deal to be greeted, but it really does make a difference. It makes for a very welcoming environment. I also love the fact that they have an open-door policy, which allows me to come visit my daughter anytime I want, eat lunch with her or just hang out in the classroom to see what her day consist of. They also do a lot of fun, hands-on activities as well as field trips through out the year. I can't say enough great things about Koala-T Preschool and their staff.

I LOVE this preschool, My kids have been to many preschools in the past and I have to say this is the most caring, heart felt preschool the teachers are amazing, my children come home and talk about what they learned everyday. My best friend has a child in the green room and they only say GREAT things about how the green room is ran now, that it is very structured, different activities everyday, the teachers are great to the children, they actually care about the kids, yes my best friend was looking for a new preschool for her child when the child started in the green room, they said it was nasty food was on the walls, noses were not wiped, children coming home in dirty diapers, and the room was not organized nor structured, now she says the room is very vibrant, and the teachers are never lazy when she picks up her kid the teachers are on the floor playing with the kids, the kids are happy and not upset. I would recommend this preschool to anyone.

Oh fluffy bunny did you lose your ccdf and had to start paying what the rest of pay and it made you mad? Or are you just a disgruntled, unhappy person! My kids have been going there for a few years and my husband and I love it. The staff is always professional and appropriate at all times. The director may be worried about money but that is because her teachers make more than average preschool teachers. As for the assistant director, she is always pleasant and helpful and if her child is in tow it's probably because she is trying to leave for the day but always has time to help someone out if they ask. . Every story has 2 sides. My kids are growing and learning. They are so happy there. They go on awesome field trips and do fantastic activities. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants their child to learn and be happy!

I can't say enough great things about Koala T! My kids have gone there since 2007. I have never encountered a teacher that appeared to be under the influence. The directors sister was the BEST teacher and all three of my kids absolutely adored her! They are very hands on, they take lots of fun trips with the kids, my youngest daughter has learned so much there and she's been with Koala T since she was 6 weeks old. As a mother no one wants to leave their children to go to work, but I trust Koala T with my children and I'm so glad I found a place I can trust with my kids!
