I went to get my iPhone 4 battery replaced. Being only 2 years old, the Verizon people told me, "It shouldn't be dead but hopefully if you change the battery that will fix it and you won't be out money. Good luck!" Most places won't sell you the battery these days, without also charging you for the installation. Indy Electronix charged $35 for the battery with installation, whereas Batteries Plus quoted me at $60; a Greenwood electronics repair quoted me $30. The battery was in stock, I went in and was out within 5 minutes.

The repairman was pleasant, knowledgable, and even gave me some advice on my Asus tablet which hasn't turned on in a year. (Indy Electronix doesn't really work with any products outside of Apple, but he did offer to look at it and see if changing the charging port did anything; that would have cost $30. When I asked if there was any place that would be better, he recommended CPR Cell Phone Repair in Avon.)
