Henthorn Mower & Engine Service

I took my riding mower in for a routine service. I asked for an oil change light sharpening and minor repair on front tire. They refused my business to look at the mower. I wish I had known in advance that they only work on specific brand of mowers.

Had a $500 tune-up done to mower. The first time I started it, it began to stall repeatedly. Tech came to pick up the mower and advised I blow into the gas tank. I called back a few days later because of continued stalling. Henthorn picked mower back up . I called after 2 weeks, and was told that parts were on order. After 3 weeks, I was called and said the mower would be delivered. Once delivered, I was told there was nothing wrong with it, and nothing was done. The next day, I started it up, and it stalls every 6 feet, and will not start regularly, just as it did when I first called. I feel I was lied to, while a questionable amount of work was done for 3 weeks. Im not sure what the $500 tune-up entailed, but I would avoid.

If you need a part for just about any mower, weed eater, saw, odd screws or bolts. These are the best people on the planet. I can say I have been through 15 to 20 different places for parts in Indy, but these guys deliver every time..

I have lived in Indianapolis all my life and never been to Henthorn's before. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have an old Tecumseh 8 HP Snapper Rider and have been able to get expert advice from them and all the parts I needed in stock that day.



In these days of Super Stores it is nice to be able to go to someone that knows what the heck they are talking about! Instead of walking into a Lowes or Home Depot and talking to some pimple faced 17 yr old who knows less than me!



These guys are great! They even have snacks! lol!

Go someone else! Don't buy from this place! They have the worst service and don't buy a Toro mower! I thought when I bought my 42" Time Cutter from them it would be a good mower, and for $4200.00 dollars you would think it would! Boy was I wrong! All I had with this mower is problems, the hydros have had problems from day one and Henthron has worked on each time take three to six weeks each time to adjust when they should of replaced them when they were in warranty! Now after working on numerous times and not in warranty they broke with them wanting over $1700.00 to fix or replace. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DON'T BUY FROM THEM & DON'T BUY A TORO!!!!! WORST TRACTOR I EVER HAD & HENTHRON HAS TERIBLE SERVICE!
