Architura is a firm of architects with extensive experience in institutional, commercial and historic design work. We compliment our architectural team with a fully experienced team of supporting civil, mechanical, electrical and structural engineers to provide services for a given project.

Architura has designed new construction and renovation projects for over 50 government courthouse and buildings for county, state and federal governments. Our extensive experiences can best be realized by our work with GSA. We are in the second renewal of our five year contracts for the General Services Administration.

Architura’s Experience with county courthouse projects include Rush, Morgan, Posey, Gibson, and Marion Counties. Recently we have completed a preliminary study and master plan for the Owen County Commissioners. This project will include a complete renovation of the courthouse and a design of an annex building that compliments the look and feel of their historic courthouse. The design phase is expected to move forward in May of this year.

Specific design and construction administration work for GSA includes such buildings such projects as The South Bend Courthouse, The E. Ross Adair Federal Courthouse in Fort Wayne, The Birch Bayh Federal Building Courthouse in Indianapolis, The Terre Haute USPO & Federal, and the Lee Hamilton Federal Courthouse in New Albany Indiana.

As you will see in this packet, master planning is included in several of our larger projects. A good example of this is the Damar Campus of 50 acres, 14 buildings with a new road and utility infrastructure. The fully pedestrian campus was uniquely designed with a road surrounding it to ensure the protection of staff and students with mental and physical disabilities. Our master planning for county governments inclusive of full government staffing and space analysis as well as phase implementation for judicial courts, county government, community services, sheriff and jail facilities.

Architura is licensed in 23 states and our partners have a combined experience of over 60 years. One of our strengths is our partners abilities to assess our client’s specific needs and create cost effective options.
