I highly recommend the lunch buffet, and only $9 including drink AND tax (last time I went). The lentil soup was great. The chicken and rice soup was good, noticeably more flavorful than the soups I've had at American style buffets. The naan/pita/bread was also pretty good for a buffet. The salad portion of the buffet was limited, but good and fresh: iceburg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced black olives, sliced onions, grated parmesan cheese, a baba-ganoush-like sauce, and a creamy salad dressing. Dessert on the buffet was limited; with rice pudding, a sweet/creamy american-style pudding (from a mix or a can), and canned peach slices. The rice pudding was home-made and good. The hot entrees on the steam table were great. Not as much variety of dishes and "special-ness" as some other more established middle-eastern buffets, but all done right. There were vegetarian dishes and meat dishes, including baked chicken. Middle-eastern food seems to do well on a buffet, since the dishes are mostly stew-like. I got there at the end of the lunch period, and the food was still good. The gyro meat on the buffet was noticeably better than what I've had at fast-food gyro places. There were two TV screens at opposite ends of the dining area. One was tuned to a local channel, and the other to an Arabic language music channel. The ambience doesn't impress, but the food does. It really stood out. I'll definitely be going back, and recommending this to friends. This restaurant is a great ethnic addition to the College Park business complex. Office workers, and out-of-towners in the area on business will find this a refreshing change of pace. This location used to be called "King Kabob" and is still listed that way in the phone book. But it's under new owners, or at least new management (probably same family.) Current owners/operators are the same family that own/run Gyro Stop down the street at 5438 W 86th.

I would just like to recommend this branch of Regions if you need an excellent bank. I had an unauthorized charge hit my account and mess things up terribly with my balance. The manager, Julie, and tellers Michelle and Brian all worked very hard to get things fixed for me. My account is back in good standing and I just wanted to say thanks for helping me with a very stressful situation. Your work was very much appreciated! Will never bank anywhere else!
