Koinonia (coin-o-NEE-yah) is a leading non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Northeast Ohio that provides residential services, day programs, and employment services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our service portfolio includes 21 licensed group homes, over 40 supported living arrangements, transportation services, and shared living options all provided in safe and healthy settings. From 24/7 care to drop-in residential options, we also assist a wide range of adults and youth transitioning from school to the working world. Our Mission: Partnering with people who have developmental disabilities to achieve healthy, fulfilling, enriched lives. Koinonia enriches lives through superior care, extensive programming, and a dedicated person-centered approach that puts individuals and their families at the center of decisions and choices. We see individuals and families as valued experts who work alongside of Koinonia associates to achieve the best possible outcomes for those we serve. Koinonia employs over 500 associates and has been recognized as a NorthCoast 99 employer for the past two years.

KE is also certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in Community Employment Services including Employment Supports, Job Development, Community Integration, and Organizational Employment Services.
