The Sandwich Tree

They have great sandwiches. I am especially impressed with their large sandwiches for big crowds. They are 8 inches wide and about 3 feet long. We cut ours into 4x4 inch squares and it worked out great for us. They were fresh and came loaded.

I went in to the sandwich tree to split a sandwich with my 2 little kids. Was greeted with a "what do you want" and an icy glare. Ordered a large sandwich and asked her to only sauce half of it. She informed me that they will not do it because it is too hard for the employees. I said ok can you put it on the side? I was told "If you are going to be difficult you need to order different sandwiches" I told her never mind and asked for her name and she gave me a nasty look and flipped around and stormed off. Avoid this place at all costs these guys are bad news.

These are the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread is so soft. They have a special sauce that they use (never turn it down) that adds a wonderful zing and moistness to the sandwiches. I'm sorry the previous reviewer had a bad experience there and won't be going again because I've always had a great experience. The service has always been wonderful even though the restaurant is often very crowded during peak hours. There's a great ambiance about it. I've actually eaten there with kids in baseball uniforms and small families. It was like a Norman Rockwell painting. On Thursdays they sell these amazing brownies with marshmallow and and chopped nuts (as well as plenty of chocolate) that are to die for.



My review: the sandwich tree is definitely the best sandwich shop in town. And it is a definite plus to support a local shop rather than a chain. Their prices are great, and their food is even better.
