Overall

I've only been to two appointments. The office is efficient and I liked the doctor I saw both times. I was always taken back real quick. My first appointment was the initial ultrasound. They were questioning if the pregnancy was viable because baby was measuring 3 weeks small so they couldn't find a heartbeat. Despite the uncertainty I was still given a huge welcome baby bag of goodies. 2 weeks later it was determined, miscarriage. After I go through the pain of talking to dr I then had to go through being weighed, ect and was asked, when are you due? how many babies is this? etc. I didn't want to be there anymore. Shouldn't you have the info that I'm miscarrying? They are closed on Fridays so I ended up going through my first miscarriage alone, with no pain meds. I was given a prescription for pain meds but dr forgot to put a date on it so pharmacy couldn't fulfill it. I tried to call the after hours number and was told on-call dr was in surgery he would try to call me before end of day. I was scared and emotional and had so many questions about what was going on. I tried several more times to get hold of a dr and was always told they were in surgery. I never did get a phone call back. And now what do I do with a big bag of baby items I no longer need? At our 1st appointment we had to meet with a financial person. We chose to pay a lump sum each appointment so we wouldn't owe a ton when baby was born. I paid soon as I checked in for my appointment and then found out I won't have anymore prenatal appointments so I'm hoping I get a reimbursement. I will go back. Maybe a full pregnancy will be better.
