The Mattress Gallery & Expo

We've always had excellent service and good deals on their higher end products. My husband and I have been shopping there for almost as long as they've been open and have never been disappointed with the products. If you have no qualms working with "good ol' boy" mentality, these guys are a bit quirky, but we've enjoyed doing business with them for years.

After the sale, customer service goes away. Don't be like me and get pulled in by the cheap prices, you have been warned.

Good prices...weird owners. What's up with that hair. We'll see how matress quality holds up.

I have yet to contact this same company but I am also having the same issue. My mattress is 6 months old and it is also starting to sag and every time my boyfriend moves I roll towards him not to mention if our baby is in bed with us he will completely roll a 360. I feel like this is very hazardous especially having a new born. I am calling Steve first thing in the morning and will repost with a response to what he says about this issue. I agree they are less expensive but the quality so far does not hold up. -1 star rating



I purchased a Chesapeake Euro Plush Pillow top (manufactured by Corsicana) from Mattress Gallery and Expo in November of 2010. Larry Partner of Steve sold me the mattress set with a comfort and warranty guarantee. During the beginning of Larry's "sales pitch" he guaranteed the quality and comfort of the product. At the bottom of the receipt it states that all sales are final and subject to a 30% restocking fee, transporation charges, and warranties are handled through manufacture not retailer. This was not included in his sales pitch but rather printed on the receipt. It is now about 6 months from the purchase date and I am having issue with sagging and rolling of the mattress. I asked Larry and Steve to assist me and they redirected to me the corporate sales representative "Steve". When I called Steve he then redirected me back to the retailer. Finally Mattress Gallery and Expo owners decided to work with me and I picked out a Sealy Mattress for the exchange of the damaged Corsicana mattress. I paid a difference of $430.00 for the Sealy. I didn't notice at the time but when I got home I noticed Steve sold me only a Sealy mattress and not the set which automatically voids any warranty with Sealy. Time and time again I feel like they are trying to pull a fast one over me and nickel and dime me for everything they can get. Today ( June 9, 2011), I called spoke to Larry and Steve and told them it is unexceptable for them intensionally selling me a mattress and not the set knowing that it voids sealy's warranty. Their response was for me to pay another $300 for the sealy box springs and that the $1100.00 I already paid (the $430.00 difference plus a credit for the original Corsicana $750.00) is the price of the mattress only not the set. They did not tell me that when I swiped my card for the second time. Today they told me that they did not want my business and were not willing to work with me because they knew I would never be a repeat customer in the future so they didn't want to waste any more time in assisting me.
