Diamond Ranch Academy was a livesaver for my son and our family. A year ago, my then 16 year old son was failing out of, and cutting classes at, his third high school in three years. He was struggling with personal, academic and mental health issues – and my wife and I had reached the end of our rope. Our son’s future, our family life and our other kids were all a mess. Not knowing what to do, and having little information concerning DRA other than calls with a few of the family references, we made the difficult decision to send our son to DRA. After 5-6 months, we began to see a change – our son started to feel better about himself, he started to return to his normal personality, he began to have hopes for his future – and he learned the mental, personal and educational skills needed to make those hopes a reality. Now, a year later, he has left DRA, is a week or so away from getting his high school diploma, and has been accepted into a four year national college. Without DRA, its wonderful staff and our son’s hard work, we would not be in this situation today.

Hi, my name is Mary. We have a daughter at DRA. It was a hard decision trying to find the best place for her to get the help she needed. The first day we visited DRA, we meet the counselor's and staff members. They explained their educational program and what they had to offer the kids during their stay there. We were very impressed with their program and well educated staff. DRA is professional yet very caring towards the kids. We toured the facility and spoke to some of the children, at that moment, I knew in my heart this would be the best place for my daughter. DRA has meet and excelled over my expectations! I am forever grateful for the help they have given her and the knowledge she has gained during her stay there.

DRA taught my daughter the importance of family, choosing good friends, good morals and values in life, and the importance to have respect for herself. They let my daughter know to believe in herself and set goals to accomplish. My daughter is now on track to graduate this year and I couldn't be more proud of all the hard work she has put in to succeed. DRA kept me informed of any updates and changes regarding my daughter. The staff was always available and promptly returned my calls to answer my questions.

I would recommend DRA to any parent who is trying to find help for their child and is having a hard time with the best place for them. I recommend to call and make the visit to Diamond Ranch Academy if you are undecided. I'm not an easy person to convince or persuade but once I saw their program and spoke with staff, I knew this was the place! DRA was life changing for my daughter. I can't thank Diamond Ranch Academy enough for bringing my daughter back to me. I will always be grateful to them and keep them in my prayers that they may continue to be successful in helping all the kids that attend DRA. They are now my extended family and love them all.

Forever Grateful,

Mary

Mother of current student

My son is benefiting from all the care and attention he is receiving at DRA. He is playing sports, doing well in school, and is learning to self-care with the guidance of all the dedicated professionals at DRA, including coaches, therapists, teachers, medical staff, counselors, and others. My son has not yet graduated the program or high school, but we remain hopeful for his bright future and college plans thanks to the guidance and assistance of the many caring, wonderful professionals at DRA. Thanks to all!

We toured the facility to make sure that it was what we were looking for. The facility is like no other, at least no other that we have seen. The staff was friendly and the students all seemed content with where they were. I think that by visiting the facility it gave us strong feeling of comfort.

I am a former student too. No, you cant believe everything you read but some places are more credible than others. I'm sick of whiney kids that didn't make it. I worked hard and I am grateful for my experience. it was what highshool should have been. Do your homework for real student comments, we keep in touch with each other onthe dra facebook page. I miss it sooo much sometimes when I see what thryre doing over there. I even hang with some of the girls from the bay and we always talk about the ranch.

I graduated the program on August 24, 2007. I am always thinking about everyone at the ranch and they are always in my prayers. I have graduated college and am now studying to be a substance abuse counselor. I owe so much of my success to the program, for giving me the skills I need to keep pushing on. Even years later there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about the ranch.

Just one of the thousand thank you's I give Diamond Ranch regularly. Our Daughter (Lindsay) is doing well and is a pleasure. She has done well at her job. Has dealt with the horrible bosses and unfair treatment, etc. She has learned how to put stuff past it, and go to work and do a great job. She is amazing. I am so proud of her. Thanks to DRA for doing such a great job.

Hurray! Thank you for all the wonderful patience and the extra mile you went on our behalf. A real teacher is the one that sees things differently and believes in them when they can't believe in themselves. That is what we all wen through with this experience and you guys were the tools to make it happen, a thousand thanks are not enough. May God in his infinite wisdom shower the most splendid gifts to all at DRA.

I cant thank them enough for working with my son. He is actually preparing to graduate from High School in about a month. It will be earlier than the res of his peers, but he made enough progrees in the academic program that he's done this semester and only has a month of prep classes. We've referred other families to diamond ranch and we will be grateful forever.

I saw that there wasn't very many reviews when I found this page, so I had to write my own experience. My son went to Diamond Ranch about 5 years ago because of abusing meds. He came home about 10 months later and everything seemed fine but he got back in to the same trouble with the same kids but this time HE said he needed to go back to the ranch to finsh the program. DRA had a guarantee that he could go back if there were problems so he went and stayed 6 months longer. That was 5 years ago, he went to college at Duke, graduated with honors and is married now. with a grandbaby!! Life is so wonderful-Iwonder where we would be if he continued down the path he was going. I see now they have grown in 5 years. They must still be doing things right.

Diamond ranch academy has a holistic program which focuses on healing not only all aspects of the youth, but on retraining and healing parents and families. We will be forever grateful to Diamond Ranch Academy for their help in transforming our son, our parenting methods, and our family relationships. Enrolling our son was the best investment we have ever made. We believe the program helped save his life, and put him on a path for a successful future.

We enrolled our 16 hear old son in Diamond Ranch academy because we felt with a certainty that he would be dead or in jail if his path continued. He was skipping school, failing classes and experimenting with drugs. Family life was absolutely hell - his personality had become destructive. A year later - what a miracle!! No more fights. No mor calls from the principal or police. No more poor choice friends. He is getting good grades and setting goals for himself. Our home is peaceful and joyful. Diamond Ranch Academy returned to us the son we knew we had raised.

it was the hardest thing to send my daughter to dra, but it has been worth it. She's been home for about 8 months and everything has changed. she sees things more clearly because they taught her to value herself, and to be her best self. she went directly to college from dra so she never really got back with the crowd she left, and there's been a few upsets but she now has the tools and experience to pull herself back up and regain control without us trying to control her or nag her. She is her own person! and on top of the world!! xmas this year was the best because we were together and she WANTED to be there. Thank you Nate and DRA!!
