Let me start with emphasizing how much of a "sweets" kind of girl I am. I grew up loving most types of candy, cookies, and cakes. I looked forward to special occasions like birthdays and parties not just to celebrate, but to eat CAKE! Lol... It's actually still a little bit like that. The cake is "the icing on the cake" of special gatherings. :) I say that to say this- I was at work one day and someone mentioned a new cupcake vendor in town, Kupcake Daddy. My coworker had his son's birthday party catered by this company. I was curious to try some of the product so I asked for the contact info. I ended up ordering a box of red velvet cheesecake cupcakes. They were hands down some of the most moist, decadent cupcakes I have ever eaten. Homemade treats are always better but these are simply fabulous! The flavor is spot on and there is a perfectly sized dollop of icing. Not only are they great cupcakes but they are reasonably priced. That says a lot for a small "mom and pop" establishment. Usually it's the big, behemoth corporations that churn out the factory-made tasting products for cheap. This is homemade goody for a good price! For all those reasons I will continue to do business with this company. I look forward to the next flavor I'm going to try from the Kupcake Daddy's wide selection. Hmm.. Is it going to be the Strawberry Delight or Banana Pudding? Maybe I should just get a box of both! Keep it comin' Kupcake Daddy! ~Your new Customer

Don't miss this friendly cafe & bakery! It's in the Main Street South Shopping Village on South Parkway. It's a great lunch and breakfast place as well as a nice coffee shop with desserts. They bake their own breads and desserts--what a lost art! They also feature customized cakes for Weddings, Anniversaries, Retirements, Change of Command (with insignia), and of course Birthdays-- they can even do those cool doll-shaped cakes!
I got a custom cake for my husband's 30th birthday. It was fun to sample all the different cakes, filling, and icings! There are sooo many combinations! Ellen is a little quirky but she knows what she's doing! The cake turned out great and I'll use Ellen in the future! She's not electronically savvy so you can't email her pictures of what you want, but that's okay, I can deal with that. :o)
