I worked with Thad at Regal Nissan on the purchase of a USED Quest van. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and laid back. I was not pushed on bit to make a hurried decision like most dealers make you feel. I let them know my bottom line, and we were able to make it work! I have purchased many vehicles in my life and this was the best experience I have had. I will be a repeat customer of Regal Nissan. Thad had another couple that came in and asked for him personally after we had almost completed the transaction, and we told him to go ahead and help them not to make them wait, and he left us with Adam. My wife bought a Dodge Journey here and she really got a nice reduction on the sale vehicle. However, we noticed some incompetence in their customer relations during and after the sale. We asked that a few additions be installed on the vehicle and they promised delivery of the new vehicle within three days. We came in to pick up the car but discovered that it was not ready. The salesman who promised that to us was not even avaiable at the dealership when we got there. And we have not seen him since. We were told to come back in another three or four days to finally pick up the car. My wife was so irritated with the runaround that she told the General Manager that she wanted to cancel the sale. The General Manager said that was not possible. So, we finally took delivery on the vehicle and, since then, we are very leary about any promises that dealership personnel make. We did not think that this was reflective of a so-called "Four Star" dealer.
I've always been intimated by car salesman, because I have had bad experiences in the past at other dealerships, but this experience at Mercedez-Benz Huntsville was totally different. David Goodwin was very easy to work with. David really took the time with me, and put me at ease; he explained the functions of the car; got my cell phone set up for hands free so I wouldn't have to worry with it later; and has called me several times to check to see if I have had any problems or questions, even saying if I didn't have time to drive in for the oil change (I live about 1 hour away and work full-time) that he would come get it and bring it back. You don't get better service than that. It has just been a great experience for me. I will definitely recommend David to my friends, co-workers and family. AAA+ for customer service. I plan to be part of the Mercedes-Benz family for a long time.
