Overall

I generally do not write reviews as I feel they are simply a biased opinion based upon brief service experiences. In most cases, they are just emotion... However, in the case of Royal Funeral Home I give my the highest compliment and recommendation. Tiffany at Royal was superb. During my family's difficult time with the loss of our Patriarch, my Grandfather, Tiffany was very understanding, sympathetic, and was the consummate business professional. She took great care to explain the services required and worked with all in involved to ensure that we, the family, had no added pain or stress in the process. Although we made arrangements to secure our own custom casket, there were no issues. In addition, my grandfather looked fabulous which was a comfort to us all. When I look back to the experience I am almost brought to tears how I felt that Tiffany was right there with us even until Grandfather was actually laid to final rest. Her words of encouragement were comforting and assuring. Royal, you get an A+++ for Tiffany just being there as though she was one of the family. If all clients get such personal attention then I must say you are doing EVERYTHING RIGHT! God Bless you Tiffany, God Bless Royal Funeral Home...

The last person who left the last review is very wrong about this company! The person before her who left a review is very right about how this company treats it's customer, friends, & family. All the last person could talk about was their grammer. Maybe the were just so upset about the way they were being treated and that is why they made mistake. When you are dealing with a death it is very hard on you. Royal Funeral Home, David in particular is very rude, very mean & very racist! My step-father put his sister over his "basic" life insurance & once David found that out he tured against my mother because he assumed that my mother was lefted without nothing! He has no idea on how things are turning out. My step-father had several different policies & David does not have access to that kind of information. Royal Funeral Home only provides "GREAT SERVICE" if you are the same color as he is!!! They were doing things behind my mothers back & I would never recommend this company to evern bury your pet!!! I think the person who left the last review is either a family member, friend or a "PAID" employee which is why they were giving them a good review. They obviously have never really delt with this company or else they would have mentioned they own experience with the company! Be very careful when considering this company to bury your loved one because they could make it a nightmare!!!!

This business has provided exemplary service to the citizens of Madison County and beyond for over 94 years. It took me a while to read through the poorly written derogatory previous review since the person lacked the basic skills in grammar and English needed to convey a clear message. Nevertheless, from what I could finally hobble together of the story after shifting out all the errors was that the person clearly was not a paying customer of the funeral home and should have taken up his/her customer service issue with the company that received his/her business, the florist.



Did the florist produce a name of the person receiving the alleged floral arrangement? Did the florist produce evidence that the floral arrangement was, in fact, delivered to the funeral home? What evidence does the reviewer have to document that he/she actually purchased the floral arrangement?



Slander is a very serious legal issue against an individual or a business. The person writing the review slandered both Mrs. Karen Jones Smith and the Royal Funeral Home. Both the individual and the business operate with the highest standards of honor and integrity which can be attested to by a multitude of persons and businesses over the years. I think history and reputation support which person is telling the truth or not. I and many others will support Karen Jones Smith and the Royal Funeral Home each and every time over an anonymous, non-paying, borderline illiterate, internet slanderer!

VERY RUDE PRESIDENT Karen Jones Smith!!!!

This funeral home has a wonderful website, unlike other funeral home. You are able to print out the obituary of your loved one and also send an electronic sympathy card. The only problem that I had was that I sent a flower from FTD to my husband aunts funeral and the funeral home told me three times that they have received the flower; but the family said that they have not seen the family. I called FTD once again and they said that the funeral home has received the flower. When I placed the call myself to Royal Funeral Home, Inc in Huntsville, Alabama, and spoke to the president Karen Jones Smith; she was a very rude, unprofessional and also very unethical to my situation. She said that the family has received the flower and she presented to them herself. She was not apologetically to the situation at all. She told me that she had another funeral to attend to, which she lied, because all funerals for that day were completed, and she hung up in my face. There are five key areas of the NFDA Code of Professional Conduct and one of them is to the public. Karen Jones Smith (President) cared less of finding a flower for me. The flower was only a symbol of my husband's love to his aunt, since he was not able to attend the funeral. Karen Jones Smith and her staff responsibility are to comfort the immediate family and all those that are grieving with the family. Karen Jones Smith needs to work on her professionalism with people since she is in the business of customer care. If the family said that they have not received the flower, Karen Jones Smith should have said to me, let me get your name and telephone number to call you back once I verify myself that the flower is here. Instead of lying saying that she gave the flower to the family and the card. I think that someone in her staff or Karen Jones Smith herself has given the flowers to someone else. Would I recommend Royal Funeral Home to anyone? The answer is no because of the unprofessionalism of the President Karen Jones Smith.

Royal Funeral Home is Very Good!

I have known the Jones Family since the mid seventies after comming to Huntsville starting as a student at Alabama A & M University. I have been able to get to know the family as a student and co-worker while attending Alabama A & M University. Over the years I have used their services dating back to 1990 after my first child passed away. Then I lost another child in 1992. This was a very difficult time in our lives and the Royal Funeral Home staff was very exceptional and very professional. Over the years as time passes we find ourselves saying when dealing with family owned business "things change with time". However, I must say after losing another close family in the past few months, Royal Funeral and staff has continued providing the same quality, professionalism, and caring service over the years.

Karen & David you and your staff was and still is "The Best"
