Dirty Dog Wash

5 stars? No, more like 10! I love this place! I worked at a self service dog wash for awhile but it was no where near this good! Dirty Dog Wash is soo much cuter and cleaner and their exceptional customer service puts all others to shame. I also worked as a dog groomer for nearly 3 years so I know nearly everything there is to know about grooming products and they really do offer the best shampoos, conditioners, dryers, and finishing sprays. They even offer ear cleaner, scrub brushes, and warm towels fresh out of the dryer! Plus, grooming can be soo expensive especially at the good shops like the one I worked at. We would charge $50 for a Maltese, $65 for a lab, and up to $80 for dogs like Akitas and Bernese Mountain dogs. We only got away with charging so much because we only used top quality products and we loved, pampered, and took great care of every dog that set foot in our shop. At Dirty Dog wash you can get the same products and quality love and care from the employees but at a fraction of the price. For only $15 ($12 with your own shampoo) you have everything you need to get your pooch looking, feeling, and smelling great and you don't have to leave your baby in a groom shop for hours on end! I love the people here! They have an extremely small employee base (only two people I think) so the polices and quality of customer service are very consistent. You can expect the same friendly assistance no matter when you go and they really really love dogs, a picky doggie mommy can always spot a faker! There is nothing I hate more than useless slacker employees who act like everything you do and every question you ask is a major inconvenience to them and their oh so important lives. You won't find that mentality here. This place is practically family owned and operated and I think they actually put the business and their customers' needs before their own lives. The first time we ever visited Dirty Dog Wash was on New Year's eve. We had just flown in with the the dogs from my mom's house in Indiana. Her dogs had fleas so my dogs got fleas (they NEVER have fleas) so we put this all natural flea preventative on them. We try to avoid chemicals at all costs but this stuff reeked!!! It smelled like clove and peppermint and it burned our eyes and noses not to mention our dogs' skin. As soon as we got home we rushed our dogs to a dog wash just a mile from our house in Irvine but they were closed! We frantically searched for a new place and found the Dirty Dog Wash. We called at about 4:45 and they said that they take their last dog at 5:00 because they close at 5:30. We rushed from Irvine, got lost and eventually got there at about 5:20. We were crushed! After a terrible trip and a frantic 20 mile drive we still were not going to be able to wash our babies! Wrong! Trent told us to come on in and take our time. He kept reminding us the whole time not to rush and not to worry. We were finally out of there at about 6:00. 30 minutes after he was supposed to be closed, Trent was still relaxed, smiling, and carrying on friendly conversation. This was on New Years Eve! He actually sacrificed some of his New Years to help us out and we will never forget that. My husband and I now drive to Huntington Beach every week to bathe our two adorable rescues Holly and Sasha. I also train dogs for the entertainment industry and my dog Sasha is an actor. You can bet that every dog I prep to film and every time Sasha has a movie or TV show we will be in Dirty Dog Wash and they will be in the credits of every movie and TV show I do! I guarantee you will never find a better place than this!
