I agree with a previous reviewer that the she-crab soup, served with sherry already in, is excellent. However what has brought me back over and over is the Chilean Sea Bass. It is prepared two ways; I've had both but much prefer it served over risotto, pan-seared, with a brilliant pineapple chutney - which drizzles down off the nice thick chunk of sea bass and into the risotto. Um-um! I just discovered sea bass about 10 years ago, but it is far and away my favorite fish now: flaky, tender, with a mild but not too fishy flavor. One of these days I'll try some of Red Rocks' other entrees but so far have been unable to tear myself away from this truly superior dish.
Order takers, servers, cooks, cashiers are here. Wait staff does not exist - get what you think you want, including any beverage refills when you place order as you won't see wait staff, just server dropping off your tab. Health score today 94. Food only fair. Salsa too hot for avg Joe. OK for a one visit to go somewhere different, but no part of dining experience will make you eager to return. Disappointed.
Been going to Palace of China since we moved to Huntersville 13 years ago. The food has always been good, and fresh. Stanny the owner is very funny and quite friendly. We have gone to other Chinese Restaurants in the Huntersville and Cornelius area but this place has the best food for the money. Quality of food like the more expensive Chinese restaurant but for less money.
