These small scaly spots are most commonly found on the face and back of the hands in fair-skinned individuals who have had significant sun exposure. If they are not treated, some of them may become skin cancer, requiring more extensive treatment. If they are diagnosed in the early stages, actinic keratosis can be removed by cryotherapy (freezing), by applying a topical form of chemotherapy or by other outpatient procedures.

Happy to call Florida her new home, she began furthering her experience in the medical field first by working as a Medical Scribe in a local Tampa emergency room followed by working as a Medical Assistant on a Mohs surgical team at a dermatologist’s office. Victoria proceeded to begin Physician Assistant school at Barry University’s St. Petersburg campus in August of 2017 from which she graduated with a Master of Medical Science Degree along with a 4.0 GPA. When not at work or studying, Victoria strives to find a work-life balance by spending time with friends and family, at the beach or out on the boat, or getting lost in a good book. Victoria’s passion for helping others and drive for success will continue to help her excel as a competent, caring healthcare provider.

Laser Eye Surgery
If you are using, or have used, prescription products for any eye pressure problems, only use LATISSE® under close doctor care. LATISSE ® use may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur which may be reversible. Only apply at the base of the upper eyelashes. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eyelid. Hair growth may occur in other skin areas that LATISSE ® solution frequently touches. If you develop or experience any eye problems or have eye surgery, consult your doctor immediately about the continued use of LATISSE®. The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are itchy eyes and/or eye redness. If discontinued, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance.

Mohs surgery is an excisional surgery technique. This out-patient procedure involves removing tumors in repetitious stages, processing the tissue in “slices” and determining microscopically exactly where the tumor margins meet the healthy skin. This surgical method is greater than 99% accurate and preserves a maximal amount of healthy skin resulting in a smaller surgical scar. The procedure is done under local anesthetic and requires minimal patient preparation and limited aftercare from a skin doctor for most patients.
