First, Zamani does not allow me to pick up prescriptions day before because he assumes I'm an addict. I'm a finance professiona, had dental procedures done before and after, this is the ONLY time that has happened. So after the surgery, I have to drive myself to pharmacy with a fresh surgical wound, wait for the rx to get filled before finally getting home. And btw, he did not call it in until 15-20 min after I get there. It took over an hour, thanks for nothing.
Secondly, he insists on doing procedure on additional tooth, even though I only have a problem with one specific tooth. I specifically tell him not to and he does so anyways.
Third, after he sutured the incision, it does not heel properly, he tries to blame the patient.
2 years later, the tooth he was not suppose to touch has another problem, he suggests there's a root fracture and extraction + implant is needed. (X-Ray does not show it, he just says you can't always see it - *keep reading)
I go to another dentist who says the tooth looks okay as far as an extraction is concerned and recommends another endodontist. They take normal X-Ray (which like the one at Zamani doesn't show signs of fracture), suggest a 3-D X-Ray to get a better look. (Zamani does not even offer the additional 3-D X-Ray, he thinks he knows everything) New endodontist goes in and what do you know? No fracture.
Go find another endodontist, there are plenty in Houston. He might be a decent surgeon (although I don't think he is any better than any other endodontist), but he is the stereotypical Dr lacking communication skills and thinks he 's better than the patient. Had I listened to this guy, I would have gotten a tooth extracted (unnecessarily based on an uninformed opinion of a Dr who should be only giving informed opinions) and had to get an implant put in (also unnecessary).
Go find someone else, especially if you're a patient that has a very good understanding of your health and are self-aware of your body.
