Family Eye/Vision Source Willowbrook’s level of customer service continues to decrease. I went there about 5 minutes before time to close for a minor eyeglass adjustment in August 2012. Their employee Robin, went into the back room, and threw a temper tantrum by throwing things and fussing/mumbling out loud. She obviously forgot the entire back wall was clear glass and it was in clear view of customers.
Robin returned to the front of the store like nothing was wrong, but her face was red. I asked her if I upset her, she responded no. Obviously, she forgot customers could see her through the glass. Robin and Rose try to be helpful and will put on a good game face until you have problems with your glasses. I spent nearly $1,000.00 there and I've been a customer over 15 years (appx). I called the office manager the next day named Jennie who pretended to be helpful upon the first complaint; obviously, Jennie stands behind her employees. Everything rises and falls on MANAGEMENT.
On a subsequent visit to pick up the lens (they had the lens re-made by moving the prescription upward to my focal point), Robin asked me to give Vision Source another try to gain my business back. However, on the next visit to attempt to have my re-made glasses re-checked, Robin returned my glasses with hand-palm and finger grease smudges on it. I told her I had just cleaned my glasses before going there that evening. Rose attempted to clean the lens once. Some oil streaks were still on the lens, by the second time, Rose bluntly told me nothing was there. I could see the appx. 1/8" round globs of something stuck on there. Robin told me nothing was there; Robin basically told me that I was LYING, so I left once again in disbelief.
By the second complaint, the office manager Jennie, told me that sometimes people have personality clashes. How is essentially calling a customer a lie about unclean eyeglass lens a personality clash? I do not plan to spend my money there EVER AGAIN.
Dear patient, we are tremendously sorry for the problems that you had at our practice. Please know that we have a new staff and manager, and although that cannot change the past, we hope that you will reconsider going to our location.
